The Senate is scheduled to vote on the debt ceiling agreement reached between Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY). The vote will likely be at 6pm ET. If the agreement passes, it goes to the House for a vote, possibly later tonight.

Contact your representatives people. Even if all house democrats vote yes later tonight they’ll still be short some 20 odd votes.

Yeah, and now we can proceed to immigration reform, then climate change (ad nauseum) and then to the next rinse cycle of shutdown America at the end of the year.

The next rinse of the shutdown cycle starts in January. That's how long they agreed to extend it. Not past the elections, like the Dems wanted.
