Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said Thursday that Republicans need to craft a positive agenda and can’t just rail against Washington, D.C.

“We have to have an agenda, we just can’t be against what’s in front of Washington, D.C.,” Bush said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Thursday.

-snip-

Taking one last dig at lawmakers on the Hill, Bush called on them to pass immigration reform and hoped it would set a precedent of lawmaking.

That’s the joke. It implies that there is a Bush brother so defective that he has been kept out of the limelight, hidden from the public.

I don’t know how high or low her position is at GS, but she would be wise to move into a receptionist’s job soon. LOL!

Seriously, it is probable that she is also very smart, intelligent and an achiever, as is Cruz, but a sniff of attachment to corporate cronyism with the likes of GS is hardly a plus, is it?

Cruz says next to nothing about this, because it has to be awkward for him, or will be.

Lemuel Bush looks a lot like George W. Bush. Has anybody ever seen Lemuel Bush and George W. Bush in the same room at the same time?

And people laughed at my conspiracy theory that the Bush family are Dem moles sent to destroy the Republican Party from within. Guess I can remove my tin foil hat now. ;-)

Rand Paul’s immigration speech

...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.

Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.

Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.

Let’s start that conversation by acknowledging we aren’t going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.

If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...

This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.

Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.

[but he’s not in favor of amnesty, snicker, definition of is is]
