I did some quick math:
Current revenues: $2.4T or $200B a month
Debt ceiling was raised: $1.0T and will get us to Feb 7 (4 months)
So, the debt will increase $1T / 4 mos at a rate of $250B a month
With this they are admitting that they will spend $200B in revenues and $250B in debt for a total of $450B a month
$450B * 12 mos = $5.4T annually!
The worst budget in history was at $4.0T!
That is a 35% increase in spending!
The “victory” for the GOP-e was that they think that they put Cruz in his place! By extension, they put Americans in their place and confirmed that we are subjects to be under DC’s RULE!
We now are entering the stage in which we will see repeated failure of Obamacare followed by laudatory encomia about how hard the administration is trying to set up Obamacare, only to be thwarted by those mean Tea Partiers. All primarily announced by John McCain, Lindsey Graham, and their ilk, who will state that it “coulda been a contenda” if only it wasn’t brain-damaged at birth by those bastard Doctors Cruz and Lee.

I consider that the team try-outs are now over.
The Varsity squad is the Democratic party, and the Junior Varsity is the Republican party for Obama High.
I will be happy to be on the practice squad, hoping I can twist a few ankles. It’s too bad they have no other teams to play.
The sad thing is that the GOP was more focused on “defeating” the Tea Party than on opposing Obama’s agenda.
I guess that confirms everything Angelo Codevilla wrote about the Ruling Class.
The GOP is as of yesterday DEAD.

I think that the issue now is, can the current Constitutional Structure of our country outlast a nation of socialists who wish to structure the nation as a beehive.
We reward people based on need.
We penalize success, production, intelligence, logic, and hard work.
It will not be long before the only entrepreneurship will be in developing new ways to demonstrate need. Those with the greatest need will be the last to fall.
The Republic will fall due to the greed and ennui of the needy.
The needy will fall due to the death of the host.
We are seeing a political AIDS pandemic, so virulent, that we can only hope it kills the host so quickly that it cannot effectively spread.
The only inoculation is to pray, I think.
