Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will not testify at a congressional hearing Thursday into breakdowns in the rollout of the federal Affordable Care Act, drawing more heat from House Republicans.

An HHS official confirmed Saturday that the secretary would not attend, citing a conflict in her schedule.

"We are in close communication with the committee and have expressed our desire to be responsive to their request,” the official said.

Issue a subpoena. Put her under oath. If Congress won't do that, they might as well strike the tents and go home now. The coup d'etat is complete.

Congress should send her an “invitation” to a
fake TV show.

Want to bet she will show up?

Something much more important than a Congressional Committee chaired by a Republican, she has a standing appointment to have her nails done.

Rules don’t apply to some. If I were to not show up for a jaywalking summons, they’d send out the SWAT team.

I get that from her perspective, but I was taking about the GOP’s artificial pumped out chest.

Let her stay in there, she’s incompetent. She’s damaged goods, a great reminder of the problem at hand. Did you see that pic of the Obozo facepalm with Sebelius after she gave him the bad news.

If Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius had a molecule of honor, she would commit Seppuku (ritual suicide or “Hara Kiri”). However, Sebelius wouldn't recognize honor if she tripped on it. The woman is without any vestige of honor.

I don't blame Sebelius. I blame all of congress. Oversight is their job. For years the DHHS Secretary has been giving briefings on Obamacare with assurances of the status of the law. Not one legislator ever asked for results of beta testing, or a verifiable demonstration of how it all worked.

If my own child gets to grade his or her own school work and issue their own report card, then why all the shock when they can't pass the SAT test when it's time to go to college?
