The so-called "experts" have been trying to explain away ammo shortages as training and carry ammo for DHS, Border Patrol, FBI, and other agents. Okay, great...that explains shortages of .40 cal., 9mm and maybe .45 ACP. But what about the government orders for .30-30? 7.62x39? .30-06? Most of all, what about the absolute dearth of .22LR?

I'm starting to think the industry is under government threat if they spill the beans that, as we suspect, the government is buying up all the ammo.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

Read the whole article. There isn’t a conspiracy, just a bunch of gun nuts hoarding ammunition. I went to Gander Mountain at 8:00 am when they opened one day this summer and there was a line of fifteen people to get into the store. When the store opened they all briskly walked over to the ammunition section to see if they had the favorite calibers. I talked to an employee and he said that day was the day they get their ammo delivery. Everyone was disappointed because the delivery was late.
