Now really, wouldn’t the simplest way to fix all this
be to simply implant a chip in all of us... /dripping S.

...which the agency acknowledged “has not lived up to the expectations of the American people.”

Oh, I dunno. It's certainly lived up to mine.

Calling these people retards is a gross injustice to retards everywhere.

They’re subhumans.

I hope he is more committed to this surge than the phoney one in afghanistan, where he sacrificed our soldiers in a conflict he never cared about, much less intended to win, just so he could maintain his false “tough guy” disguise on terrorism — and to keep a lid on the situation long enough to get past the next election.

everyone that has died in afghanistan since obama was elected has been sacrificed to his political future.

start with demanding the money back from the criminals that wrote this POS or bring charges against them for fraud...

+ - - best and brightest from both inside and outside government to scrub in with the team and help improve healthcare.gov.”

A recipe continued disaster. Maybe there could be some success if they canned the current “team” and hired the best and brightest from outside the govt.

But bringing in more help with the existing team still in charge is guaranteed failure.

Too much emphasis on technical glitches and not enough on the basic flaws, including: (1) forcing people with good health insurance to cross-subsidize those without it; (2) forcing people to buy coverage they don’t want or need; (3) price controls on doctors and hospitals, which discourages them from providing quality care; (4) failure to address the lawsuit problem; and (5) cost-increasing regulatory and paperwork burden.

Having been through one or two of these myself, the new team will uncover so many fundamental flaws in the architecture that they will require at least 2-3 years of redesign, plus another year (at least) of testing prior to roll-out. Add in bureaucratic delays and you have a recipe for continuing disaster.

It’s a rewrite, or they’re in for more epic fails (which could be a good thing).

If Obama focuses on this like he focused like a laser on job creation, where there are now less people employed than in 1979, the exchanges are doomed.

That will make it worse. The new people don’t know anything about what what was already coded. They will slow things down. The problem was with the design. Stupid design gives stupid programs.

How is the “tech surge” going to solve the problems of disinterest by healthy youth, obnoxiously high premiums, even higher deductibles, doctor shortages, doctor denials of service to Obamacare enrollees...and I could go on.

Praying for a power surge, or EMP surge, to really “help them out.”

... bringing in some of the best and brightest ...

Great idea -- throw more bodies at it. Sounds like most of the managers involved never bothered to read "The Mythical Man-Month".

Is it any wonder with these Chicago political thugs in the White House that the best and the brightest weren’t utilized from the beginning?

“our team is bringing in some of the best and brightest from both inside and outside government to scrub in with the team and help improve healthcare.gov.”

Yup...that will work...(rolling eyes)

How about take the site down, outsource the fix to a actually company who does this for "profit" put some realistic incentives on the table for a fast turnaround...

Probably it will be up and running right in a year...

By then we will have won the Senate and just repeal the bastard child from hell..
