Texans Give Ted Cruz a Hero's Welcome
FreedomWorks.org ^ | October 22, 2013 | Shane Wright

Senator Ted Cruz may be an outcast in Washington DC, and a thorn in the side of the Republican National Committee as well as GOP leadership, but at home he is a hero. This week citizens have been hosting rallies to welcome Senator Cruz back to the Lonestar state to publically applaud and thank him for his courageous stand against Obamacare and big government bureaucrats in both parties.

Sen Cruz fans fill the hallThe outpouring of support for Senator Cruz has been remarkable. The location for tonight’s rally in Dallas has been changed three times to larger venues due to the overwhelming response. More than a thousand people have RSVP’d for the event so far! Hundreds of supporters have already turned out to welcome home their constitutional champion in Houston, and San Antonio. Ted Cruz understands that he works for Texans, not party bosses whose only goal seems to be maintaining the status quo of punting to progressives whenever things get a little tough.

Sen Ted Cruz in HoustonSenator Cruz is one of the few remaining torchbearers of liberty on Capitol Hill. Though he may be beaten and bruised by politicos, pundits, and petulant bureaucrats of all varieties in Washington, he has been welcomed home this week as a valiant defender of individual liberty and true American freedom.

Senator Cruz’s agenda is driven by the values of his constituents and the Constitution; he is beholden to We the people, not to party leaders, media sensationalist or wall street cronies. Senator Cruz’s message is shaped by his fundamental belief in individual liberty, not by a desire for popularity amongst the press. Senator Cruz is a rare breed of politician. Texans and grassroots conservatives are proud to stand with him, and stand up for him.

Welcome home Ted!

Too bad Texas is totally out of step with the country.

Can we negotiate terms of secession? Unlike the War of Northern Aggression, the liberals actually WANT us gone this time. I’m sure we could come to a reasonable agreement.

Can we negotiate terms of secession?

It will come to that eventually, by necessity. And it will likely be non-negotiable and bloody. There is NO common ground with the thugs in Washington and us Texans, no acceptable position of compromise. Any capitulation to our feral overseers will necessarily mean a contraction of liberty for us.

Not necessarily. I think Obama/Reid/Pelosi would be THRILLED to have Cruz and the rest of the Texas representatives out of their Nanny State guvmint, just as Texas would be thrilled to have their own independent country.

Texas provides much to Commie land, so I don’t think they’d let us out without a fight.

I also read that she is a member of the buildaburger group, the UN Quad Alliance Group for population control, a 4th level Perry Mason, and a closeted gay man.

Infowars is an awesome site!

Well here is my thought. Not everyone working for Goldman Sachs are bad people. As for the CFR, well yes the CFR has been fighting against our republic thru numerous venues like Art, Media, Politics, etc., however yes those at the very top are very much knowledgeable what they are doing. As for the bottom peons, they simply joined for the networking not knowing the true agenda of the CFR. I learned about the CFR when President Reagan was running for president. He criticized George Bush Sr. for being a member of the CFR. That is when I learned about this group.

I think we need to be careful on this let’s not play into the devil hand of punishing someone on the basis of association which we know liberals are good at.

Deception wins wars is just a statement of fact. I like Ted Cruz, I believe he’s the real deal with respect to his demonstrated patriotism and expressed commitment to keeping government within the confines of the constitution. It was disappointing to learn this of his wife and hoping its all benign.
