Unbelievable: This is An Actual Online Chat Transcript From Healthcare.gov, and It Is Horrible
This is incompetence at its finest. With the way this thing is panning out, Republicans should take it easy on ObamaCare and get down to business to really figure out a good strategy for the upcoming immigration reform agenda.
But why should they leave ObamaCare alone for now?
Because they dont have to do a single thing to make Democrats look stupid for supporting ObamaCare and Healthcare.gov over and over and over again.
P.S. The Authenticity of this chat has been confirmed if there are any doubters. The individuals name is Adrian Smith, 34, of New Jersey.
Thank you for your inquiry about my experience on October 11, 2013 using the healthcare.gov support chat. I can confirm that the excerpts used in the YouTube video and the full transcript posted at www.gop.gov/yourstory is authentic and exactly as I experienced on October 11. I am a resident of New Jersey and work for a higher education institution. I am not employed by the Republican Party.
After a recent job transition, my family needed to make an informed decision about healthcare options for the approaching year. After repeated registration problems, I was able to create a healthcare.gov account on October 11 and began the tedious process of entering specific personal information about our family. Each page resulted in a long wait before being able to proceed. At some point in the process it appeared that our family information became corrupted and I was unable to proceed with the family profile.
When I reached out to the online chat function for assistance, I was professionally greeted by a customer service representative named Dean. At this point, I had hope for a resolution that would allow me to see the pricing and coverage information my family needed. Unfortunately, the chat experience was as frustrating as creating my healthcare.gov account. Deans responses made little sense, were at times comical, and did not provide the help I needed. Ultimately, I lost faith in healthcare.gov and made the decision to pursue alternate options for the healthcare needs of my family.
Video's at the link. Be sure to check out the comments; some are classic.
Speaking of unbelievable, how about that bit from the hearings today - hidden in the source code for the .gov website is a statement that users should not necessarily expect that any information that they provided would be kept confidential, in direct contradiction of the HIPPA requirements imposed by the government a few years back - CMS apparently opted to keep this part of the site away from the public at the last minute - amazing.....
By now Democrats are starting to realize they were foolish for not letting Republicans put Obamacare off for another year. They could have used it to beat Republicans over the head, but now they have to squirm their way out of muck Obamacare is causing them. Demagoguery over the government shutdown isn’t going to give them enough juice to get out of this disaster.
Of course there is privacy.
The privacy of every governemnt thief, crook and murderer is protected.
“Dean” fails my Turing test — he sounds like an AI interface, not an actual human. I suspect that “Dean” resides on a “HAL” computer.
"If you think you hate it now - wait till you drive it."
The same holds true with FUBOCare. You think the roll-out is bad? Wait till its fully in place.
I didn’t mean “sounds” literally. Obviously the video uses computerized speech. I was referring to the content. I should have been clearer. Naturally, that wasn’t obvious to me, until after I pressed “Post”.
Um, thanks?
Democrats are so used to doing just the opposite of what republicans want that they just went along as planned.
What they didnt factor I. Was that republicans did not want them to shut this down, Ted Cruz and mike lee wanted them to shut it down
Doing the opposite of what those two want is going to be wrong every time.
Republicans fought lee and Cruz worse and giving in in the end
Dems are also dumb to not have known what any awake and alert 15 year old knows. Any big project the inept and friendless Obama puts together will bomb. And no one is less concerned about. Causing suffering to us and to congress than Obama is
As predicted everyone is starting to be sorry they didnt stand with Ted
But this is politics. Lets not make Ted say who was against him. Lets not give these guys undo credit.
Some republicans in lauding pundits are Ted cruz oat hateful critics. They’re doing a double take now and jumping on bit they’d turn on him in a flash again
Obamacare Website Accidentally Enrolls Thousands in Sex Offender Registry
THANK YOU I needed that one!
“Hello, is this the party to whom I am speaking?”
I always use that expression. I have to double check everything when posting online, since I rarely know how people will understand/interpret my posts.
Should read - some republicans ,congress and pundits, have been Ted Cruz’ most hateful, disrespectful critics. Maybe it’s my middle child syndrome coming out, but it frosts me to see them getting any credit for wanting the repeal or delay of obamacare
McConnell is tge senate repub leader and he took a kickback to go against this decision and on behalf of the entire GOP senate, and Rubio is gushing over him just yesterday
Wow, that’s some Rolodex.
I’ve said this before — why aren’t the pubs on the floor of the house with a large screen monitor depicting exactly what is going on and demonstrating the user “experience”? Sure many people are seeing this personally but many haven’t even tried and don’t know how bad it really is. Rub their noses in it.
“Imagine you are stuck in rush hour traffic. You still exist, you just aren’t going anywhere.”
Uh.. gee, thanks for that existential platitude Chat Eliza script!
And it took how many years to come up with this?
How many of those half billion lines of code are just for this laughable chat function?
