Some genetic engineer could make themselves wealthy beyond the dreams of avarice, if they could come up with some way for dogs to say a dozen words in a human language. Even if the words were just phonetic single syllables, distinguishable from each other.
Dogs can typically learn some 300 human words in context, and one dog learned 1000 words. Just being able to say things that meant yes, no, come, pain, hungry, thirsty, tired, danger, and syllables that mean the first names of the people “in their pack”, would completely change the relationship.
That would be hard to develop an immunity to.
Yeh no kidding. LOL!
Can't we all just get along?
Mr. GG2 just returned home with a bag of food grade diatomeceous earth. The guy at the feed store said he also sprinkles it out in his dog run as they pick up fleas when they go outside.
We have put it in the small fenced area off the deck and all in our carpet and even dusted Buddy our Beagle with it. The chihuahua just got a bath and when dry will get a dusting. The Beagle is trying to lick it up off the floor so it must taste pretty good.
