Well, folks, how does it feel to be called stupid, crazy, extremist, racist, and terroristic for standing firm for values and principles that most Americans have held and continue to hold dear? Such are the rantings coming from liberal media and Washington elites about the Tea Party.
Word on the political street is that GOP polling has tanked because Republicans foolishly listened to the wacko Tea Party, led by toxic idiots Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and Sarah Palin.
So to win an approving pat on the head from D.C. elites and the liberal media, conservative politicians and the Tea Party must offer their unconditional surrender to Obama's socialist/progressive "fundamental transformation of America" agenda. And for good measure, the Tea Party must abandon their friends Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and Sarah Palin, burning them in effigy.
Regrettably, too many politicians on our side have drunk the Kool-Aid, abandoning conservatism in hope of winning a little love from liberals.
This is why Republican gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli's rock-solid conservative platform is extremely courageous.
Readers of my articles are well aware of how much I believe that character matters when electing leaders. Awarding great power to someone who lacks a conscience is insane. Had the liberal media paid more attention to Obama's character rather than insisting that his skin color exempts him from the standard vetting process, America would not be in a mess that threatens the vision of our founding fathers.
For those of you who still think character does not matter, check out this list of ways Obama tried to inflict unnecessary pain on the American people -- using them as mere pawns, as acceptable collateral damage in his vendetta to destroy his nemeses: the Republicans and the Tea Party.

I remember the first debate between Romney and Obama last year. The consensus ( even among liberals) was that Romney kicked Obama’s butt.

Republicans need to realize no matter who they nominate, they’re going to be trashed by the media with the familiar memes of being stupid, crazy, mean, racist, etc. They just need to be ready for it. And they certainly shouldn’t nominate a candidate on the basis that they think they WON’T be bashed in such a way. Anyone they nominate will be attacked with some of the all-too-familiar anti-Republican memes.
Yea, the WH staffers made sure Obama wasn’t stoned for the next ones.

In another thread on the Virginia gubernatorial elections, I wondered aloud about what’s happening in Virginia ( which used to be a reasonably conservative state ).
The unanimous explanation was that Washington DC has grown too large and most of these government workers live in Northern Virginia... there are probably enough of them to overcome the conservative votes in-land.
Just witness what happened in 2008 and again in 2012.
No, sorry to say, won’t even be close.
The cited poll was done by a pollster who has been wrong lately w/ his polling and not even close to the actual outcome.
I truly hope that come the Wednesday after the election I can be called a dipstick for not believing. But alas, I don’t think that will be the case.
Virginia is going to be blue for statewide races, unless something drastically changes.

Just witness what happened in 2006, 2008 and again in 2012.
In those races, certain precincts in and around Richmond (the state capital) were the very last to come in. I’ve been watching VA poll numbers a long time and the first time it happened, George Allen easily lead ex-Republican and new democrat Jim Webb in that year’s Senate race throughout the evening.
At the very last, those precincts began to come in, and with each one, Allen’s lead grew smaller and smaller. Finally, Webb pulled ahead and his lead continued, to win the race. At no time before the wayward Richmond votes began to turn up, had Allen not lead.
Call me a cynic, but those precincts were not upper middle class. Allen led even with Northern Virginia votes thrown in, so those Richmond precincts were most definitely the deciding factor.
Those precincts have been last to report in elections since. Would anyone like to bet they’ll come dragging in last, to push “Fast Terry” over the finish line come election day?
