She was very carefully chosen. While close examination results in an androgynous racial decision, there are elements in her appearance that could end up in an answer the varies solely on the race of the person looking at her.

At least to me, it is not hard for someone to see "Latina" or "Asian" -- hell, even American Indian if you look hard enough. Then again, she could be white - maybe even some black from further down the family tree... who knows. A face open to self-racial interpretation.

Regardless, a bright beaming confident and hopeful smile for any race.

Yes, I'd say she was very, very carefully chosen.

Of course she is Hispanic. By choice. These days (especially here in LA) the generic people in ads tend to be Hispanic. But they are the majority here.
