A Republican congressman from a heavily Hispanic district is breaking ranks from his party to join Democrats in an eleventh-hour push for a broad immigration overhaul before the end of the year.

Rep. Jeff Denham (R-Calif.) plans to sign on as the lone GOP member with 185 Democrats to co-sponsor a plan that would give millions of unauthorized immigrants the chance to attain citizenship.

“I’m the first Republican,” he said in an interview. “I expect more to come on board.”

And someone here took issue with me recently when I noted that you can usually judge a man by whom he marries.

“It surprises me to see Issa and Chaffetz on your list.”

Chaffetz is a “Jewish Mormon.” Mormons are the biggest non-Catholic church in Mexico and they want to bring their “converted saints” here. My grandparents former home in Provo, Utah now has 5 Hispanic families living in what was once a two family edifice.

Term limits will go a long way tofix the problems of Washington!
____________________________________________________________

Yes...wish this was written into the Constitution. I sincerely believe if there were term limits for members of House and Senate....we would see a difference in how this country operates.

I sadly think these people get a taste of ‘power’...notoriety....access to info that allows them to profit financially....and badda boom...they never want to leave DC.

Thanks for the list/head's up on the potential traitors.

"Can you believe the Republicans think we'll keep picking lettuce once we get Amnesty? Ha, ha, ha!"

Once the idea of a representative government of volunteer citizens who retained their real jobs and lived in their own communities changed into a celebrity career of pampered royal status the future of this republic became limited.

The trouble is that if the amnesty succeeds, Texas too will turn. The America will truly be irretrievably finished.

I am writing all of the people on the list to amend the bill to mandate that as a part of any background check a cross checking of voter registration is conducted. That way any applicants for amnesty who have committed felony vote fraud by illegally voting, or do so during the alleged waiting period can be disqualified.

Please don't be naive and please don't waste your time.

This is pure power politics of the highest order.

The rabid statists of both parties are hell bent on legalizing these third world illiterate, anti-capitalist third world criminal scum.

Your proposal will NEVER be considered by any RAT. Some liberal judge will laugh and through out any such restriction.

The RATs are laughing behind the backs of the traitorous, idiotic, EVIL GOPe scum that go along with amnesty.

The RATs know it is checkmate if they get any type of amnesty passed.

I truly loathe the GOPe -- they are our last firewall against the transformation of our Repubic into a third world sewer.

The GOPe will drive the final nail in the coffin.

It’s interesting because Chaffetz defeated previous Rep. Chris Cannon in the primary largely by focusing on Cannon’s weak immigration stands.
