In his remarks Friday night, Mr. Biden said that tea party Republicans have a fundamentally different view about women and their role in the world.

To advance the cause of women’s rights, he added, the U.S. must elect more Democrats.

“We can win back the House, and when we do, it’ll be your agenda, because the president and I embrace it completely,” Mr. Biden said.

I dunno. Considering that the average female Democrat politician has an IQ somewhat lower than my cat's, I don't think electing them does squat do advance the notion that women are intelligent enough to be treated as equals.

If we want to advance women's rights, we need to elect strong, intelligent women--in other words, Republican women.

OTOH, there is not much that women are prevented from doing because they are women (except for heavy labor jobs).
