HENRY: But the president said one thing and you are admitting that that's not going to be the case. That not everyone is going to keep their plan. That they will admiringly wind up with probably better insurance in the long run. So, they may be healthier, that should be said. But the president sold it as if you have a plan, you will get to keep it and that's not true.
CARNEY: Ed, I appreciate what you're trying to do. Eighty-plus percent of the American people already get insurance through their employer, through Medicare or through Medicaid. They don't have to worry about or change anythingThose remaining individuals who do not have insurance at all now will have it available to them through, or don't have insurance at all and get it through the individual market will now have it available to them through expanded Medicaid services in those states that have accepted the expanded Medicaid program, as well as through the health care marketplaces. And it is correct, I take your point, it is correct that substandard plans that don't provide minimum services that have a lot of fine print that leaves consumers in the lurch often because of annual caps, or lifetime caps, or carve outs for some preexisting conditions, those are no longer allowed because the Affordable Care Act is built on the premise that health care is not a privilege, it is a right and there should be a minimum standard of plans available to Americans around the country.

"The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent vice of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries." - Winston Churchill, House of Commons, October 22, 1945.
Or:
". . . there can be no doubt that Socialism is inseparably interwoven with Totalitarianism and the abject worship of the State. It is not alone that property, in all its forms, is struck at, but that liberty, in all its forms, is challenged by the fundamental conceptions of Socialism." - Winston Churchill, B.B.C radio address, June 4, 1945.
Churchill's words of the 1940's are being revealed to be as valid in 2013 as they were when he uttered them.
"Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy." - Winston Churchill, Perth, May 28, 1948.
Translation for today: Your liberty to choose your doctor, your plan, the features you wish your plan to cover and not to cover, are being denied under the "fundamental" change which is being imposed by imperfect men and women in positions of power in a government structure whose very Constitution denies them the right to such coercive power!
One of the steps to be minimally eligible is that the policy must have had the following text at the bottom of the last page upside down in invisible ink and 0.05 font size no later than obama’s first inauguration day. Didn’t have it? You lose.
Some SpokesB0z0s dont meet minimum standards either.
Exactly! How does this bozo Carney have face to show? Well look at him a total loss human? And the spin train...
CARNEY: Ed, I appreciate what you’re trying to do.
Makes me sick.
Yes the Standards were raised—AND SO WAS THE FRIGGING PRICE.
Raised so high many bust their balls trying to pay it.
That is disposable income for some.
Disposable Income that will not be spent at business’s
Disposable Income that will not take you on vacation.
Disposable Income that will not get you in the movies or buy you that new car or boat.
To others it is not disposable income. It was for heat in their homes that will now get cold, for food in their bellies that will not be filled, for gas in their cars so they could go to work.
Yes it is making us all have a more equal income.
A piss poor one.
A lot of folks seem upset by what is happening. To those LIBs/DIMs who are effected: BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
“And if you like your doctor, uh, here’s your tough s*** slip. Sorry!”
DHS
FMCDH(BITS)
Yup...and bumped for later.
Actions speak louder than Obama’s empty words. Installed incentives with-in the program are creating the predictable reality of ObamaCare...
I think that impeachment of a “man of color” is a hot potato.
Obama does NOT meet my minimum standards
You are beginning to get the idea why "minimum standards" are so.........cheap?
Barry doesn’t meet minimum standards either. Lets dump him.
Yep, that's true. Once the individual mandate is through and the business mandate becomes a reality, then the big shoe drops as all those large companies that offer Cadillac plans (like government insurance) will wind up paying a penalty for providing a good plan. Few companies will do that and millions will be thrown into the exchange markets to buy crappy insurance for more money. My company that employs 6 thousand has already said this is a strong possibility.
This is a DAMN' LIE and Carney knows it!
Any employer who's health insurance plan is renewing in 2014 ALREADY KNOWS this is a lie! "Obamcare" sets MINIMUM STANDARDS for Employers also. Any Employer who offers healthcare insurance has to make sure their policies MEET "MINIMUM" STANDARDS (according to Obama!) once those policies renew.
That means those who's policies must be renewed in 2014 WILL SEE PRICE INCREASES!
Those who do NOT renew in 2014 will see those increases when their policies renew!
Further, Employers who SELF INSURE and have STOP GAP Insurance to cover catastrophic health care costs (such as my employer does) are firmly in Obamacare's BULLSEYE as those employers who self-insure aren't required to follow Obamacare mandates.
Obama and the Democrats are working to "fix this loophole" to make sure NO EMPLOYER can SELF INSURE in the future.
The SOCIALIST/MARXISST BASTARDS are at the gates folks! They're coming to dramatically drive up your health care insurance costs no matter who you are, or how you obtain health care insurance. This is COMMUNIST CENTRAL PLANNING AT ITS WORST!
