That they will admiringly wind up with probably better insurance in the long run. So, they may be healthier, that should be said. But the president sold it as if you have a plan, you will get to keep it and that's not true.

The problem isn’t “did the President ‘lie’”. The problem is he said that existing plans and medical relationships would be preserved, and made no effort to influence the law so this would be the case.
He could have tried to influence the legislation so pre-existing plans and medical relationships wouldn’t be disturbed. Instead, he let “standards be raised”, making existing contractual insurance illegal. That’s what people should be screaming about. He didn’t give a crap about what he’d promised.
Obama said the minimum standard was if people liked their plan and wanted to keep it.

TRANSLATION: “You are not allowed to purchase catastrophic coverage because we need people with jobs and assets to pay through the nose to pay for the freeloaders/Democrat voters.”
In his national radio address last Saturday 0bama repeated his lie “if you like your plan you can keep your plan blah blah blah.” More than a million people have received cancellation letters and he is still telling the same lie.

When an individual buys health insurance they should not have to pay for childbirth, birth control, mental health, etc. if they have no use for it. But those are some of the minimum standards.

I work for 10 billion company that employs 10,000 plus people...
My health care plans certainly changed...all because of Obama care..
1. I will be paying a $500.00 annual spouse surcharge since my wife works for a company that offers healthcare plans but she is on mine because it is far superior
2. Our plans now covers far more people than it did before, pretty much any sexual arrangement or family situation non-blood non-family members are covered as long as they are in your household...
Way more people are being covered by the plane so it freaking costs more...
To retain the same coverage my deductibles doubles...

Who are THEY to decide what is “substandard” for me or my family?!?!? Millions upon millions of us have gotten along fine choosing OUR OWN PLANS. Just butt the hell out of our lives!!!!!!!
