Top Democrat Strategist: The ‘Dem Party is F****d’
tpnn.com ^ | 10/28/13 | Greg Campbell, TPNN Political Analyst

Caution: Strong language ahead as the Democrat Party reviews their shaky footing as one scandal and embarrassment cascades onto another.

On Monday, a reporter for the often-liberal National Journal reported that a top Democratic strategist with ties to the White House and Capitol Hill wrote an email with a subject line “Dem Party is F****d.”

Ron Fournier, the National Journal reporter, noted that the email linked to an article in the Los Angeles Times that has joined the rest of the usually-lefty publications who have grown tired of defending he indefensible Obamacare healthcare overhaul.

An idiot for taking you two at your word? You’re telling me and every other disabled veteran and military retiree that we’re the same as a welfare queen. I’m idiotic for understanding where you’re coming from?

“You Lied To Us!”

That is one conclusion the previously deluded understand now. It is personal for them now. They were LIED TO, deceived, treated as fools, taken advantage of by those they trusted.

No wrath like . . . a true believer scorned?

“I’m idiotic for understanding where you’re coming from?”

No. The reason that you’re an idiot is that you’re unwilling to accept the fact that “your check” comes from somebody’s productive work.

As there are fewer productive taxpayers, there becomes less money to pay everyone else “their check”.

You don’t seem to see the problem, and instead try to drape yourself in the very real sacrifices of others, many true heroes, in an attempt to defend “your check”. So, you’re an idiot.

Now, if you want to have a more rational discussion of things, I’m willing to explain it to you again.

“your check” comes from somebody else. If you squeeze that somebody else too hard, he won’t give you money for “your check”.

Do you understand now? This discussion, if we were able to have it on a national/political basis would do more to preserve “your check” than anything else. But we can’t have that discussion, can we? That was my point.

Every other check recipient feels exactly like you, making it impossible to even discuss the issue, and making resolution an even more distant dream.

Oh, now you’re saying that my military service was shit and I’m “draping” myself in the sacrifice of heroes? And every other check recipient, down to the worst of the moochers, feels that their government stipend is the equal of mine and just as deserved? Seriously? Did you serve beside me? If not, what the #*^! do you know about my time in the armed forces?

“Oh, now you’re saying that my military service was shit and I’m “draping” myself in the sacrifice of heroes?”

I’m definitely saying you are draping yourself in the sacrifice of heroes, yes, to defend “your check”.

The rest is your hysterical extrapolation.

“As always the answer is we need government policies that get more people working”

Exactly. Otherwise it degrades to fighting over a diminishing taxbase, and “checks”.

I suggest you two head to a veteran’s day parade and ask them all why they think they deserve whatever they get from all those taxpayers and how they sleep at night.

“I suggest you two head to a veteran’s day parade and ask them all why they think they deserve whatever they get from all those taxpayers and how they sleep at night.”

You are dreaming up a debate that nobody else but you is having. While we are on the subject, why do you insist on trying to use others honorable service in defense of “your check”? Stop it. Really. Just stop it.

Cash “your check” and be happy. Nobody said you shouldn’t.

The funny thing about people is that the Big Lies are believed.

No one remembers that Obama said that “You can keep your plan”. Many are thinking “Well, I always knew I would lose my plan, but the new exchanges will be BETTER!”

I have had three vendors state that to me in the last few weeks, even though the same people said the OPPOSITE thing only three months ago. They don’t remember saying it.

The perception is that the GOP, and Bush, caused the current health care crisis. Enough people will believe that because the talking head on the MSM said it.

I think the point is that to the person getting the check, they deserved. Never mind it came from someone else.

Personally I have no issue with most military benefits, but to expand it out to say, the cop down the street or the old teacher next door, all those checks came from someone currently working.

That isn’t sustainable. That is why pensions died in the private sector.

Now we have a duty to help those injured in the service of the county. That is part of morality (same as I have a duty for people injured in my employ). But in the you need to close the cash balance.

I'm talking to YOU 2ndDivionVet

I'm trying to survive too!

I'm feeling the weight of CRUSHING taxes and regulations - all being done in the name of helping people like you!

You're living off the rest of us and you have no sympathy, no compassion, no care for how any of this is effecting the rest of us?????????

Well it proves my original point: You don't care about anything getting your government check.

Thank you for proving my point.

The amount someone puts in to social security or military retirement is a tiny fraction of what they will take out.

The first step to fixing a problem is admitting you have one.

I don’t think the people of this nation are ready to admit they love government spending.

Yep - everyone has their sob story, so no one is ever going to be asked to take their hands out.

So I guess we’ll just go bankrupt.

But you’ll get to keep your checks eh? :)

You are not being crushed by the Veterans. You are being crushed by illegals, welfare moms, beach bums, alcoholics, drug addicts, etc. that this country feels we owe a living to that we don’t owe a damn thing. You are being crushed by layers upon layers of corruption that lines the pockets of politicians at every level.

Veterans have paid for every cent they get with blood, sweat, and tears defending jerks like you that do not have a clue.

Becoming disabled in the service of the United States is a “sob story” to you? Sounds like you belong at DU or Daily Kos.

As far as I know, no one is getting a monthly check just for being a Veteran. There are indeed things that qualify certain Veterans to get checks, and rightly so.

I have no idea why when the issue of government payouts comes up people always leap to Social Security and Veterans as a place to cut, top of the list- WHY?

I freely admit to drawing a line in the sand with politicians and people like you that want to cut government checks. Why don’t you first get the illegals off the dole? Are you doing anything at all in that direction? Have you ever? How about getting the real moochers off? Do you raise these points with your elected officials? Until the illegals and the moochers are off the dole, I personally don’t want to hear a word about Veteran’s payments or retired or disabled people that worked and paid in to Social Security.

When people start with people who have served their country and qualified for Veteran’s benefits, or people that have worked many years and paid into a system that they were forced to pay into- to me that shoots all credibility that the person bringing that up is serious about cutting monies.

Don’t you understand that the libs are the ones that have lumped together Veterans and seniors with deadbeats? The liberals change the language- call it all entitlements no matter what it is...you fell for it. They call illegal aliens immigrants for the same reason. Confuse people and they will eat their own first it seems.

“people like you that want to cut government checks”

I want to cut spending. I want to prioritize. Why don’t you?
