Top Democrat Strategist: The ‘Dem Party is F****d’

Caution: Strong language ahead as the Democrat Party reviews their shaky footing as one scandal and embarrassment cascades onto another.

On Monday, a reporter for the often-liberal National Journal reported that a top Democratic strategist with ties to the White House and Capitol Hill wrote an email with a subject line “Dem Party is F****d.”

Ron Fournier, the National Journal reporter, noted that the email linked to an article in the Los Angeles Times that has joined the rest of the usually-lefty publications who have grown tired of defending he indefensible Obamacare healthcare overhaul.

If “that grouping” were not so very large, getting lumped in would not be notable. Of course some receiving checks from the gov is good, as you deserve it. Alas, the grouping is overwhelmed with the undeserving, and constantly qualifying statements is awkward in casual conversation. Thanks to the undeserving, your checks might just end as the money has already run out (the pipeline just hasn’t emptied yet).

“I can’t see how the Democrats can avoid this thing back-firing on their party. I can see thousands of people camped out at their congress critters’ offices demanding they DO something to fix the situation.”

You answered your own question. Dems will avoid this by constituents demanding they “do something”, which they will, rearranging the pain to satiate the complainers and irritate someone else, repeating the cycle and imputing blame on the Right. Always works. Nobody cares how the problem happened, only that “somebody DO something”.

I think both parties are in it deep. They are racing to see who gets to the bottom of the manure pit.

“I get a “government check” for my veteran’s disability.”

Government checks of all kinds - in aggregate - skew the recipients attitudes to be more favorable to the status quo and the continued receipt (and growth) of those government checks. Do you honestly believe otherwise? Remember, I said “in aggregate” and not making any statement of individuals.

The point is that in the end somebody has to make the money that is taken to fund the government check. We don’t have enough of those “sombody’s”. 49% receive welfare, according to recent statistics. There are also millions of government checks, like yours, that are not welfare that also must be funded by “somebody else”. The percentage is way over 50% of folks that receive “government checks” of all kinds - whether “deserved” or not. Use whatever standard you wish to determine who should get a check.

We do not have the money to pay them all. We do not have the political will to not pay them all, in fact we are making a concerted effort as a country to increase the number of people that get a “government check” of some sort.

I’m for reducing government to the point where we are paying down our debt, not growing it. I am one of the dwindling group of “somebody else”. I’m also a veteran.

If you can make the case that you should be given money that is taken from me - that I earned - no matter who you are and what the reason - feel free to make the case.

The conversation quickly becomes awkward in both directions.

I think we should have that conversation before we meet our collective doom and all the checks stop.

What is this "both parties" of which you speak? You have discovered a second party in American politics? Do tell!

The media will fight tooth and nail. That, is what needs to be overcome. The 5th column always destroys.

The American "news" media.

They are first.

Maybe half a party, or a quarter...

Ok, you are right. The red wing of the ruling party.

The question isn't that it will fail, it is who gets the blame? The MSM is running cover for the Dems, and I expect a lot of propaganda soon. Micheal Moore gave us a hint on what may be the next act of the play.

The health care failure is only bad for the Dems if it gets blamed on them.

I heard yesterday that 22% of Democrats are Communists. I’d put that statistic on the low end but high for what America once was.

And the 1968 revolutionaries in Amerika WERE naked Communists. Mao spouting, Marx quoting, Viet Cong flag waving, Castro worshipping COMMIES.

The Democrat Party died circa 2008.

Maybe that's when it completely died, but the fatal disease was introduced about 10 years earlier, when they discovered that they could indeed get away with anything they wanted, as long as they stick together, and that the media was enough in control to run interference for them.

From that point on, they've lost all semblance of self-restraint.

don’t worry....bonehead in the house will bail them out somehow with this talk of amnesty/immigration reform.

the single dumbest thing to do in politics is to change the topic when your opponent is drowning. and the gop wants to do just that.

LOL! What are the odds that a slut like that would have the F word as a last name? I didn't believe it until I heard her pronounce it like that herself, her name actually rhymes with "duck" LOL! It makes me wonder if it messed up her head, that because of that she is obsessed with sex. It's like something out of Austin Powers:

"Hello, my name is Sandra F**K"

"Come again?"

"Government checks of all kinds - in aggregate - skew the recipients attitudes to be more favorable to the status quo and the continued receipt (and growth) of those government checks."

I have followed your conversation with interest. As I am a retired Marine. After putting in 22 years of various duties including the drill field, combat and humping the hills in the infantry I feel I can safely say that I earned my government check. My fellow veterans that have gotten wounded in combat defending this great country have by all means "earned" their disability check as far as I'm concerned.

My beef with government checks are the ones who haven't "earned" them. People who get government checks simply because they are poor or without a job. These people used to be taken care of by charitable organizations within the community. Now the government has co-opted those community organizations and they are but an arm of the government. Americans are some of the most generous people in the world. I am in several veterans organizations and I've seen with my own eyes the level of charity the American people have. America worked best when the government was not involved in the charity. Those government checks should be eliminated. The ones to veterans who have retired (i.e. did 20+ years) or who have service connected disabilities have been earned IMO. Those were incentives given to us to sign up to defend our country against all enemies foreign and domestic. It is one of the reasons we have in the constitution as a function of the federal government (national defense).

My post and complaint was toward the asinine assertion in Post #6.

Tzimisce says “49% of the people in this nation are getting government checks. None of those people care about anything our government does as long as the checks keep coming.”

It is not only those on the left that plays fast and loose with facts and figures to exaggerate their pinhead point.

Did nobama increase the welfare rolls? Certainly, but not to half the population as some try to claim and who either conveniently leave out that a significant percentage of gubmit payments go to SS or somehow incorrectly claim SS and Medicare is welfare.

Unless and until some pol is forcibly removed from his/her home or office, stripped naked, duct taped to a chair and tortured relentlessly, the message will not be received loud and clear.

When Americans begin dying because the government took their health care away from them (which they truly are), the lives of Democrats who voted for this evil aren't going to be worth spit.

Democrat voters won't be the only ones demanding a solution. Plenty of our folks are going to get hurt by this too, and they're not going to abide the sort of 'solution' the Commiecrats will offer.

The country is going to explode over this. The fallout is going to be tremendous.
