How GOP Insiders Will Fail in Civil War vs. Tea Party: “The Establishment Strikes Back”
Canada Free Press ^ | October 29, 2013 | Jonathon Moseley

“The Establishment Strikes Back.” But this campaign against the tea party will fail, because false assumptions dominate the thinking and plans of America’s Republican establishment. GOP insiders have now declared war on the tea party. They are promising during the 2014 U.S. elections to restore business interests to dominate the GOP, and weaken the tea party influence.

“Hopefully we’ll go into eight to 10 races and beat the snot out of them,” said former Rep. Steve LaTourette of Ohio. According to the National Journal, “LaTourette’s new political group, Defending Main Street, aims to raise $8 million to fend off tea-party challenges against more mainstream Republican incumbents.” La Tourette explains: “We’re going to be very aggressive and we’re going to get in their faces.”

Trouble is: America’s Republican aristocracy does not understand the tea party or what is motivating the grassroots insurgency. Republican insiders cannot respond to what they do not understand.

First, too many ‘mainstream’ Republicans candidates spend money like drunken sailors. They vote for more spending, bigger deficits, more business-strangling regulations, bigger government, and ballooning national debt. They must eventual buckle to higher taxes.

Political gurus put on an act, saying that the divide falls between fiscal issues and social issues. But establishment candidates are not fiscal conservatives, the only play fiscal conservatives on TV. The tea party revolt is against the GOP’s rampant fiscal irresponsibility.

The tea party aims to put the United States’ finances in order, lowering taxes, and balancing the budget. The charade of pitting ‘business interests’ against the tea party will not fool businessmen for long. The GOP establishment is bad for business.

Second, the grassroots is demanding genuine change. Until they see actual change, ain’t nobody listening. GOP elites don’t get it:

The grassroots is like a wife who has been cheated on, who is refusing to listen to her adulterous husband’s excuses. So when GOP aristocrats ‘warn’ us about tea party candidates, their arguments fall on deaf ears. Voters must see a genuine change of heart before they might start listening. Hell hath no fury like a voter whom the establishment has lied to (once too often).

Third, conservative candidates thrive when attacked by GOP elites. The morning after Christine O’Donnell won the September 14, 2010, primary, her website displayed a fund-raising goal of $50,000. Then, news spread that Mike Castle refused to endorse the choice of the voters and the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) was refusing to help. Radio talk show host Laura Ingraham that morning then Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity that afternoon urged their enormous audiences to donate.

Christine’s fund-raising blew through $1.1 million by 1:30 PM. She only asked for $50,000 that day. Conservatives ultimately gave $7.4 million. Steve LaTourette’s entire budget is only $8 million, spread across 10 campaigns.

Contributors gave $7.4 million for the pleasure of sticking their thumb in GOP guru Karl Rove’s eye. The more the establishment snubbed sweet and sympathetic Christine, the more conservative donors wanted to slap Republican elites across the face with their own donation. Those donations were a rejection of the very establishment who now imagine we will suddenly start listening to them.

Wouldn’t it be nice if these GOP insiders devoted the energy they are using to defeat the TEA Party to defeating Democrats instead? I can dream can’t I?

And how did that work out for Senator O'Donnell?

The GOPe is in for one hell of a surprise when the American people (Tea Party) crawl through broken glass to kick the shit out of these RINO’s in 2014!!

Paging Karl Rove, your unemployment check is in the mail, your Obamacare policy is also waiting for you, now bend over and take it like the piece of shit you are!

I do believe you are correct. That the GOPe has to make "promises" to help business shows full and well how far they have drifted into democrat territory over the years.

Night night you bastard kool aide drinkers, TEA is now the official drink.

Oh, and my check is in the mail; promise.

The GOPe is fighting to retain their stolen power, period.
The GOPe is in bed with the Democrats, period.
The GOPe already foisted upon the American People, the likes of John McCain and Mitt Romney. No more.

Anybody that is not going to stand FOR The U.S. Constitution, and operate WITHIN that fixed document, is a traitor, and needs to be removed from office.

Period.

Absent having to continue running against the GOP in the general election Christine O’Donnell would’ve been elected. Instead, people like yourself piled on to make sure the Democrat won just to spite the conservatives who didn’t take their marching orders from the GOPee elites.

And now me and my family (who live in Wyoming) are donating to Matt Bevin in the hopes that he can unseat that useless old turd Mitch McConnell. He won’t even be OUR Senator but putting our finger in the eyes of the likes of Karl Rove, McConnell, and (apparently) yourself is completely worth it.

Thus said, the author of this article is right.

And you don’t get it, do you? Your time is over. Get out of the way.

And how did that work out for Senator O'Donnell?

It worked out well. She withstood the attacks and beat the RINO Castle in the primary. That's very encouraging.

OK. She lost the general election, but more important, a RINO didn't win it. The GOP-e needs to understand that if they work against the Tea Party, their candidates will ultimately lose.

Sure O'Donnell lost the election, but so did the GOP-e. I'd rather have a Tea Partier lose to a Democrat, than have a GOP-e RINO win.

The Tea Party message needs to be that if the RINOs run the Republican Party, the Tea Party is serious about seeing the party collapse.

The RINOs never believe that -- they think that in the end we will always vote for the RINOs. And in the past they have been right.

But this time it's different.

So you're admitting the GOP-e is more interesting in screwing conservatives than in defeating Democrats.

It's a start.

How many of Karl Rove's handpicked candidates won in 2012?

Rove, through his two political outfits, American Crossroads and Crossroads Grassroots Policy Strategies, backed unsuccessful Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney with $127 million on more than 82,000 television spots, according to Kantar Media’s CMAG, an ad tracker based in New York.

Down the ballot, 10 of the 12 Senate candidates and four of the nine House candidates the Rove groups supported also lost their races.

Rove and wannabees like La Tourette raise big bucks and use the money to feather their own nests.

Donald Trump posted a message on Twitter saying: “Congrats to @KarlRove on blowing $400 million this cycle. Every race @CrossroadsGPS ran ads in, the Republicans lost. What a waste of money.”
