Meanwhile, another 75,000 — or about 60 percent of the company’s individual policy holders — are being grandfathered in, he said.
In November, Humana is poised to notify 9,000 Louisiana policy holders — or about 18,000 people — that their individual health insurance plans will be affected by the implementation of the law.
Despite the political and public relations fiasco that has unfolded as HealthCare.gov went live on Oct. 1, several of Louisiana’s insurers said Wednesday they’re not ready to throw in the towel.
