Abortion is an atrocity that this Nation does not need. Hopefully these abattoirs will not re-open.

Now that we know Judge Roberts can be blackmailed (see ObamaCare), don’t presume the SCOTUS won’t find a way to shoot the whole thing down.

To all those gals who plan on getting knocked up so they can kill their child, cross the border and have a Mexican doctor.

It amazes me that the pro-aborts fought to make it legal so women wouldn’t HAVE to go to the back-alley filthy places. Now, they fight to keep the filthy places... This was NEVER about WOMENs HEALTH!

God bless Texas!

Did you READ that list of offenses the clinics had been cited for? Wow-that is what Republicans should be shouting to the baby killers. Their hearts won’t be turned from murder, but perhaps learning the truth about the filth might at least make them come up with another excuse.

No, not good for either Texas or life. Yes, this creates another inconvenience for women who want an abortion. They will still have an abortion.

The problem you should be concerned with is that this ruling hurts private practice by requiring doctors to have hospital admitting privileges, and thus putting the doctors’ businesses at the mercy of the local hospital, with whom, by the way, they compete. These are not “back alley practitioners” who were shut down. These were licensed doctors, no different than those you would find at a hospital. But now, they can’t practice without a hospital’s blessing.

This is about abortion for now, but how long before admitting privileges are required for other procedures? How long before hospitals start dictating private doctors how to run their practices via the threat of witholding admitting privileges? So no, don’t be jumping up in down in joy just because you (incorrectly) think this will result in fewer abortions. This WILL hurt you later when your doctor goes out of business and you’ll have to go to the overpriced and unhygienic hospital instead.

Most physicians in good standing can get privileges if they want them--the face is they don't want them, because that would require them to take call and be responsible when their own patients show up in the ER.

I doubt this will be a problem for family practitioners who do not want to take call at hospitals, so opt out of admitting privileges.

Why don’t you just come right out and say you support abortion rather than creating a straw man argument.

If you are doing major surgery, you should be qualified, and have a plan an route to care if something goes wrong....all the deaths have been associated with doing nothing when something goes wrong, because the clinic/doc did not want the responsibility. Since they were there for an abortion, if they send them home, nobody will say much if they die! What a sad state of affairs.

If they had any other major procedure, and were sent home to die, there would be hell to pay, lawyers involved, etc....

OMG, this is HORRIBLE!!! those evil anti-choice Texans forcing abortion doctors to have the same credentials as other doctors who save lives, and to have a plan in place should anything go wrong...THEY HATE WOMEN!!!!!!!

Clearly, you do not put the life of a child above admitting privileges or other claptrap you mention. Distribute your snowjob in New York, where someone may actually listen.

The more INCONVENIENCE for the mother, the less inconvenience for the unborn child.

Praise the LORD from Whom All Blessings FLOW! Especially babies. A gift from God created in His image.
