Breaking News at CNN: Senate Democrats Voted to Kill Other Health Plans -- Three Years Ago
NewsBusters.com ^ | November 1, 2013 | Randy Hall

That was the case when Chris Frates, an investigative correspondent at the Cable News Network, reported on Friday that "Senate Democrats voted unanimously three years ago to support the ObamaCare rule that is largely responsible for some of the health insurance cancellation letters that are going out.”

“In September 2010, Senate Republicans brought a resolution to the floor to block implementation of the grandfather rule,” Frates wrote, “warning that it would result in cancelled policies and violate President Barack Obama’s promise that people could keep their insurance if they liked it.”

At that time, Chuck Grassley -- a Republican senator from Iowa -- stated:

The District of Columbia is an island surrounded by reality. Only in the District of Columbia could you get away with telling the people if you like what you have, you can keep it, and then pass regulations six months later that do just the opposite and figure that people are going to ignore it.

The administration's own regulations prove this is not the case. Under the grandfathering regulation, according to the White House's own economic impact analysis, as many as 69 percent of businesses will lose their grandfathered status by 2013 and be forced to buy government-approved plans,

"...On a party line vote, Democrats killed the resolution,
which could come back to haunt vulnerable Democrats
up for re-election this year..."

Enter as 'Exhibit A' in the prosecution of Barry, Sebelius, Pelosi, Reid, etc., in the willful misrepresentation and knowingly lying about the facts of the law in order to get it passed ("You can keep your health care plan" and "You can keep your doctor"). 'Bait and Switch" is a crime, punishable by a large fine and prison time.

This is a scandal bigger than Benghazi, IRS, NSA, DOJ spying on Fox News, etc.. It affects EVERY American with a contract entered into based on lies.

Let’s get a summary of the Republican amendment, with a list of all the Democrats who voted against it — and use it in upcoming elections.

The Tea Party Senators MUST. RENEW the battle to END ObamaCare NOW. No debt ceiling hike, no continuing resolution defunding the government. This is life or death for the Republic and our freedoms. #IStandWithTed #DoesTedStandWithMe? Do not trust the RINOs or anyone else who puts his tail between his legs after collecting signatures through a website for a future political campaigb. Damn the torpedoes!

My parents were educated in the ‘40s. Latin, Greek, languages, physics, classical literature, and logic, debate and how to put together an essay, argumentive, expository and creative.

They were exposed to good film, including comedy, as well as crap, but, they had no tolerance for it, so they rejected it, the market did not support it.

They knew the Marx Brothers were funny. Ditto Sid Caesar. Mel Brooks was a staple - still is.

Same for us, though liberalism took over very quickly. One sibling would have one set of rules, another, 4 years younger, was brought up completely differently.

And these kids at school now, are put into public schools by trusting, if not unthinking, inconsiderate, unthoughtful, undereducated, brainwashed parents, and are still expected to behave and think in healthy, logical ways.

They do ... do that.

They are Starved for logic, honesty, challenge. God bless Rush. He’ll find out with his brand new audience, because he is curious, what makes kids tick.

Kids need education. and, by the way, they certainly do not need to be voting. It’s another instance where they’re being exploited. It was changed during Viet Nam.

The guys who invented Cars, TV computers, NASA, radios, beat Hitler, they didn’t vote at 18 (I think that’s correct)

21 years old for that.

And don’t forget the Obamanites steering a half-billion dollar web-site contract to the company of a friend of the first couple.
Yeah I know: it’s hard to keep up with all of these grifters’ scandals

Remember when CNN got caught lying to protect Saddam?

They’ve finally been ‘caught’ lying to protect the other Hussein.

slightly disjointed but descriptive of the backbone of America now I at 52 WILL continue that standard and by the way i had very good friend who joined the Marines at 15 (anecdotal) to get in the game to fight the "Japs" in WWII.

But that is beside the point or besides the point the only way to change the DC crowd is to stand them ALL agin a wall
