[LA Times title and SUBTITLE on paper's website front page: Chaos follows LAX shooting - Anti-government sentiment may be motive for attack

__________________________________________________

A composed, solitary gunman shot his way into Los Angeles International Airport on Friday morning, killing a transit security screener and injuring at least one more before being wounded by police and taken into custody. The incident was over in less than 10 minutes but caused chaos at the world's sixth-busiest airport and disrupted thousands of flights across the nation.

The suspected gunman was identified as Paul Anthony Ciancia, 23, a New Jersey native who lives in Los Angeles.

Authorities declined to discuss the gunman's motivation publicly. But a law enforcement official told The Times that a note was found on the gunman expressing "disappointment in the government" and noting that he had no interest in hurting "innocent people." Ciancia also sent a sibling a text message last week suggesting that he was prepared to die, officials said.

It appears the gunman targeted Transportation Security Administration agents, who are not armed. Authorities said he approached several people cowering in the airport terminal, pointed his gun at them, asked if they "were TSA" and then moved on without pulling the trigger if the answer was no. A witness said the gunman cursed the TSA repeatedly as he moved through the terminal."....

There were early reports that the shooter was a present or former TSA employee; false report or scrubbed?

From the LONG article:

” The gunman was not a TSA officer and “never had been,” according to the union, the American Federation of Government Employees.”

Sounds to me like “anti-TSA” sentiment was more the motive for the attack.

Well, then
Obviously the TSA needs to be armed, and there needs to be a campaign to identify and detain those 'anti government' types.

“.........A law enforcement official, speaking on condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to discuss the investigation publicly, said Ciancia was wearing fatigues and carrying a bag containing a one-page handwritten note that said he wanted to kill TSA employees and “pigs.”

The official said the rant refers to how Ciancia believed his constitutional rights were being violated by TSA searches and that he’s a “pissed-off patriot” upset at former Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. The note and the gunman’s rifle each had an orange TSA inspection sticker on it.”.......

Biggest crock of b.s. I’ve ever read. Anyone who believe this is a true story, is delusional. The government just CREATED it’s excuse for ‘arming’ yet another extension of the feds, while murdering and blaming a ‘conspiracy’, “NWO” patsy...anything to move his agenda for a ‘civilian’ army ‘forward. Sadly, AMERICANS keep getting murdered in the process.

Alleged LAX Shooter Paul Ciancia Carried Anti-Government Note

“The alleged Los Angeles International Airport gunman carried a note with him today that expressed anti-government sentiments and suggested he expected to die in an airport shootout, according to law enforcement sources.

The suspect has been identified by the FBI as Paul Ciancia, 23. He is believed to have homes in Los Angeles and Pennsville, N.J.

The note found at the scene ended with the letters “NWO,” according to law enforcement sources, which is believed to stand for “New World Order.” Law enforcement sources also said a large number of .223 caliber rounds were found at the airport.

Officers followed Ciancia to the rear of Los Angeles International Airport’s Terminal 3, where he was shot and taken into custody, according to Mayor Eric Garcetti.

David Bowdich of the FBI said Ciancia is receiving medical attention at a hospital.

Suspect’s Family Feared He Was Suicidal

Earlier today, Ciancia’s father contacted police in Pennsville, N.J., with the concern that his son may be suicidal, Chief Allen Cummings of the Pennsville Police Department told ABC News.

“Their younger child got a text message from Paul stating that there were some comments in there about his wellbeing and he wanted to possibly take his own life,” Cummings said.

Cummings said he called the LAPD today and asked for officers to “try to get a well-being check” on Ciancia.

Officers went to Ciancia’s apartment before the shooting and talked to his roommates, Cummings said.

Around the time of the shooting, LAPD officers called Cummings, unaware that Ciancia was the gunman, to let him know that they had satisfactorily completed the well-being check.

Authorities said they believe Ciancia acted alone, however they will investigate whether he has any ties to domestic terrorists.

Los Angeles World Airports Police Chief Patrick Gannon said the shooter was armed with an assault rifle, blasted his way past airport screeners and “got back very far into the terminal.” Gannon said the shooter initially opened fire before “proceeding up into the screening area” where he shot at TSA officers.

Police “tracked him through the airport... and engaged him in gunfire,” Gannon said, eventually taking him into custody.

One TSA officer was fatally wounded, while several others were hit by gunfire.”

From the partial contents of his note - more of which was released yesterday - I’d say he was more likely an anarchist or Occupy type. He was also quite crazy and apparently had been under treatment or perhaps even still was, and his father called the police just before the event because he thought his son was suicidal.

Some of those people (or probably most of them) are crazies who have channeled their lunacy into a political obsession. I was walking by a group of them camped out near a bank and financial headquarters on Broadway a couple of weeks ago and it was like walking by an open-air mental ward, with raving, shouting, and signs painted on ripped up cardboard decrying the “NWO,” among other things.

This, of course won’t get coverage. It interferes with the view of the radical left as flower children.

That said, I think there should be some review of TSA procedures (not arming them, because I wouldn’t trust most of them with a weapon). I have always thought that it was very hazardous to collect all the passengers in one spot, where they are not only unarmed and unprotected but especially vulnerable because they’re usually about half dressed at that point or are busy getting dressed or undressed. Thank God he was obsessed with the TSA, because if he had just fired upon the passengers, we’d have a huge body count.

As soon as the MSM discovers he voted for Obama - or stood with "Occupy" - they'll switch to "he's mentally ill and all the people he knew liked him".

If FINALLY the liberal wet dream comes true - and it is a conservative (which I doubt) they'll build monuments to they victims, stay on the story for months, and paint every conservative with their broad brush.

If he's a liberal or Muslim the killing will have NOTHING to do with his beliefs. If he's conservative the killings were BECAUSE of his beliefs. Watch and see.

I would say, “you can’t make this stuff up”, but clearly, they can, and do. Wonder how long it took them to plan this one. They will stop at NOTHING to move their agenda forward and they’re getting away with murder. Word to the wise...STAY AWAY FROM GOVERNMENT DRILL SITES!!

Mass shootings in America: A history, 1999 through 2013
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/mass-shootings-central-american-history-article-1.1457514

As someone else pointed out ... Mass shootings in America break down like this: from Jan 2000 to Jan 2008 (the time Bush, a pro 2A president, was in office) there were 9 mass shootings, and from Jan 2008 to present (where we have Obama and the anti-gun left), there are currently 19! So, that’s 9 in 8 years....... vs. 19 in just 5!

The newspaper's only breathless about 'anti-government' if they can paint him 'conservative'.

If he's "Occupy' anti-government then he's 'mentally ill' and everyone he knows 'liked him' and he acted alone and no other liberal would ever act that way.

If he's conservative he's represents every other conservative in the country.

The MSM hates us.

If he's 'liberal' there will be NO connections - even if he's a member of ACORN and joined the Communist Party 2 years ago. It'll be 'move on' time.

If he's conservative every person he attended church with when he was 10 years old will be investigated. And a monument will be built for the victims at the airport.
