Good morning..

Like Daylight Savings time..Chicago is "falling back"..LOL

Another sterling example of Margaret Thatcher's maxim that "socialism works until you run out of other people's money."

The Detroit bankruptcy case, where they can't pretend, or hide any more of the fiscal shenanigans, is like shining a flash light into a dark cellar..all the cockroaches are running for cover..

“Livin’ On A Prayer”

Once upon a time
Not so long ago

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union’s been on strike
He’s down on his luck...it’s tough, so tough
Gina works the diner all day
Working for her man, she brings home her pay
For love - for love

She says we’ve got to hold on to what we’ve got
‘Cause it doesn’t make a difference
If we make it or not
We’ve got each other and that’s a lot
For love - we’ll give it a shot

[Chorus:]
Whooah, we’re half way there
Livin’ on a prayer
Take my hand and we’ll make it - I swear
Livin’ on a prayer

Tommy’s got his six string in hock
Now he’s holding in what he used
To make it talk - so tough, it’s tough
Gina dreams of running away
When she cries in the night
Tommy whispers baby it’s okay, someday

We’ve got to hold on to what we’ve got
‘Cause it doesn’t make a difference
If we make it or not
We’ve got each other and that’s a lot
For love - we’ll give it a shot

[Chorus]

We’ve got to hold on ready or not
You live for the fight when it’s all that you’ve got

[Chorus]

12% of the expenditures and 63% of the property taxes.

That’s pretty bad. Besides the property taxes, income to the city wouldn’t normally be that much - unless there were an income tax, or a city sales tax.

If they don’t have the income tax already, they will have sooner or later. It would be prudent to expect both.

Municipalities paying current expenses with bond debt is usually against the law. It may be a criminal misallocation of funds.

he United States Government is buying Bonds too.

Only they are buying Bonds that they print on the ame press as they print the money they buy them with.

The paper is too thick for Toilet paper and cannot be used for anything else. Worthless.

Isn’t this how Democrats always govern, at every level? This sounds awfully familiar.
