Carson does not have a voting record. He hasn't gone through a campaign. If he wants to be VP, he should start by running for an HOR seat next election season....and win. Has he even helped conservative candidates? Has he done anything to make conservatism inspirational in poor minority neighborhoods?

It's too early to choose anyone. One thing, for sure. I want someone who's a proven winner for constitutional conservatives, stands by Ted Cruz, and can lead and win elections, and has done so.

...and meanwhile the rats are putting in place their mechanisms to cheat to win.

Well Jay, How would you like a Ted Cruz/Dr. Ben Carson ticket?

Doesn't matter what we want, what the people want.
When we go to the polls in three years, we will, again, have the bleak choice of either a hardcore Marxist or a Democrat-lite.
Dems & Operators + GOP-e will find some way to crush, smear or railroad every conservative candidate who dares to step forward.

Top seats to Conservatives is a great idea. However, without ligislative support, they are mere figureheads, for the most part.

Real change will require veto proof majorities in Congress, coupled with a will to change the course of this republic.

I like Carson’s stances on Obamacare, but he seems rather unvetted on other pertinent issues. If he’s anything less than pro-2nd Amendment, he’s a non-starter for me.

Apple co-founder and famed technology entrepreneur Steve Jobs is widely quoted for his disdain for market research. Jobs’ point was that leaders and entrepreneurs don’t start by asking people what they want and trying to give it to them. Visionaries see what the problems are that need to be solved and they deliver solutions that customers are not aware of or never dreamed of.

Political leadership is no different than business leadership in this regard. Polls reflect yesterday. Leadership reflects tomorrow.

Campaign Strategy ping. Karl Rove and his sidekick with the hairpiece Frank Luntz are being exposed as the LOSERS they are.

sounds like GOP trying too hard to play the race card
(We have a bracelet too!”)

Cruz MAY be capable of national leadership - not tested

Carson, though an impressive man, has zero experience to be one heartbeat from the US presidency. No military experience, no executive experience. Being VP is not brain surgery but unlike the democrats who managed to make brain dead Biden seem like the experience obama lacked, it would be in the true national interest to have a ticket where both candidates have shown experience to handle the politics of the various cabinets and agencies, House and Senate, and where the VP has the potus’ back

If Carson was white we would not even be talking about him

Senator Cruz has my complete support. We finally have a brilliant, articulate, charismatic candidate who can advance the conservative message. This presidential cycle is going to be fascinating.

I can see Cruz at the top of the ticket, but Vice President is not an entry level job. So no on Carson.

Carson doesn’t even understand the 2nd amendment. He wants selective gun zones.

Why would we want to support someone who is pro-amnesty and doesn’t understand the 2nd amendment?

<....”We know what the Democratic Party is going to put on the table for them”.....>

Yes, and they will eat it IMO because the ability for critical thinking is all but gone among the populace. They follow the Piper that makes them feel good and feeds them all the “candy” their senses can handle and more.

The facts were there about Obama...and the nation majority chose to believe the deception....they can no longer distinguish between truth and falsehood...nor do they want to.

I really think we should be focusing on the 2014 elections instead of the next presidential race. Let the ‘14 off year election showcase the best candidate for president in ‘16.

I want Cruz as my president, he has all the talent of leadership and love of a constitutional free republic, he has it all, calm cool hand strategist, but is a little weak in one crucial area, he is not an in your face no holds barred vicious attack dog, a down and dirty mud, blood, beer and bite off your ear fighter.

LTC West is the best, to round out the Cruz ticket, together they eat rusty nails and wash it down with battery acid.
