Iran Passes the Point of Nuclear No Return
Commentary Mag. ^ | Oct. 29, 2013 | Jonathan S. Tobin

"...Olli Heinonen, a former deputy director of the IAEA, said that Iran has, “in a certain way,” already reached the point of no return in its nuclear program. Heinonen confirmed the report released last week by the Institute for Science and International Security that said Iran could enrich enough weapons-grade uranium for a single bomb in about a month."

excerpt-

If the Iranians have reduced the “breakout time” needed to convert their vast stockpile of low-enriched uranium into nuclear fuel, then even if Tehran agreed to proposals about limiting their enrichment capacity, their path to a weapon is clear. If this is true, the administration’s arguments against tightening sanctions on Iran must be seen as a sign that it is, despite Kerry’s protestations that “no deal is better than a bad deal,” determined to reach an agreement with the ayatollahs that will not remove the threat of an Iranian bomb.

Throughout the debate about the nuclear threat from Iran, we have been assured by the administration that any danger of the Islamist regime cheating on a deal in order to procure a weapon that they had theoretically renounced was slim because of the lengthy “breakout” period that would be needed before they could complete the construction of a weapon.

excerpt-

Having wasted five years on feckless engagement and dead-end diplomacy, the recent information about Iran’s breakout capacity may mean it is already too late to stop them by means short of force. But if the president and Kerry allow themselves to be sucked into another Iranian attempt to run out the clock on nuclear talks, no one should be deceived as to the meaning of such a decision or the potentially lethal consequences for Israel, the Arab nations of the Middle East ... and the entire world.

The whole dynamic has shifted into a non-sustainable state. We used to not tell people who could have what weapons they just knew that we have the stones to use our 100 times over if they used theirs. Detente through strength. Now nobody fears us anymore.

Who are we to tell anyone what they can and cannot have. We don’t let them tell us (well we used to not). We just need leadership strong enough and taken serious enough to say you can have them, but we will use ours if you use yours.

Obama and the entire Rat Party.

Who just made a catastrophically grave error. Any middle eastern individual who is a friend of the west had best get out of the area as quickly as possible, because Iran is about to be turned into a huge glass "garden".

No one will allow the Iranians to possess nuclear weapons, since their insane leaders are only limited by time before they begin unleashing them against everyone else. Israel, Iran, Saudia Arabia, New York and Washington DC, England...

They will continue until there is only themselves, or so they think, left standing. Even if someone tells them that no one else will allow them to continue without retaliation they will still continue to set off weapons since they believe they are enguaged in a holy war in which only they the true believers are destined to survive.

Iran has just announced its death sentence upon itself, since the entire world knows what will follow once they possess such a capability. One or more bombs will fall from unknown sources, most probably several, upon them, since only another truly insane country or individual would believe that a nuclear Iran would be a peaceful Iran.

I repeat: get out, friends of the western world and civilization, if you wish to survive. Get out while you can, as when they do launch it will be far too late then -and no one will trust anyone coming from a nuclear Iran to have only good intentions when they try to enter another country.

I will know when Iran hits the point of no return by reading the story of how Israel destroyed their product.

How many years have we been hearing that Iran is a month or 6 months away from a nuke. I guess one day it will be true.

The mind boggles. Anyone with half a brain, I would think. Iran, Saudia Arabia, Israel, Libya, Egypt, Pakistan, India, Great Britain, Germany....

A nuclear Iran can not -will not, be allowed to exist.

Not quite — the point of no return will be when the Israel bombs begin to fission at Iranian targets.

Thanks nuconvert.
