full title....CBS News: White House Granted Itself Waiver To Launch Obamacare Website ‘Deemed As High Security Risk’

A memo the Obama administration turned over to the House Oversight Committee revealed that the White House granted itself a waiver to launch the faulty HealthCare.gov website with “a level of uncertainty.”

The waiver was granted four days before the Oct. 1 launch of the Obamacare website, even though it was “deemed as a high (security) risk,” according to CBS News.

CBS News reports tests to secure customer information privacy on the federal health exchange website fell behind schedule, with a required top-to-bottom security test before the launch of the site never getting done. From May 6 to July 16, the deadline for final security plans fell through three times, while security assessments — which were supposed to be finished June 7 –were pushed back to Aug. 16 and then Aug. 23.

Sheryl Atkinson has been digging on the Obamacare rollout for a month. She's the one who had her computer hacked when investigating Benghazi for CBS.

I hope she checks under her car every morning.

If a product is known to possibly cause financial harm to its customers, can it still be sold??? Gov can be immuned from lawsuits or liabilities if the damage was unseen during implementation. Courts provide gov immunity to prevent gov from freezing up her decision making due to fear of lawsuits. However this immunity from liability is diminished if the defect is identified and the gov still proceeds. If Obama insists on carrying out ACA with a known security defect in its website, the gov is liable for any damages afterwards.

It would be interesting for an enterprising lawyer to test the merits of a case where it can be proven that the product was not safe. Think of the auto manufacturer lawsuits, ala Nader?

Government always has immunity- and if they don’t, just pay out money in lawsuits via soaking more producers via taxes.

FEDGUV INC ALWAYS WINS.

I am not talking about financial lawsuit. I am talking about having the courts force a delay till the security problem is fixed. If the GOP in Congress is smart pass a law insisting that it will be fixed before it can still proceed. Define success sooo tight that it is impossible to meet. Experts say if ACA is delayed one year it will financially implode. That is why the WH will never accept a delay for one year or even six months even if the Dems in Congress join the GOP, the WH will veto the delay law.

When the government is right, the tax payers pay.
When the government is wrong, the tax payers pay.

So they are responsible for all the breaches that will come. But they are the ruling elite - they make rules for the ordinary people but don’t obey them.
