New Black Panther leader and muckraker Malik Shabazz endorsed Duggan early on in the race

He’s different than the better known Malik Shabazz. He’s mostly a dumbass but not nearly as militant (No uniform etc).

The fact that about half of Detroit’s adults are functionally illiterate means Detroit is not going to improve anytime soon.

Not anymore. They tossed the Black Dem Mayor of Mobile for a White Republican back in August.

I had his locale wrong. Kenyatta headed for Jackson Mississippi. The new mayor of Jackson (Chokwe Lumumba) is the one who wants to create a black nation. He was born in Detroit BTW.

Ah, OK. Yes, the new Jackson Mayor is a horror. He’ll help drive out the remaining White residents of Jackson just like that old Communist Coleman Young did in Detroit.

I’ll never understand why so many will support their own destruction. The fact that Detroit rejected Kenyatta is a hopeful sign in my book.

They’ve got a long way to go but every step forward is a good one.

I didn’t know Kwame Kenyatta split. Did he ever finish out his term? I wonder if what ever happened to the city council president? Anyone spot him lately? Last I heard it was NYC. Or was it Seattle?

Charles Pugh turned up in Seattle. I don’t know what the game is with him right now. I’m guessing he’s under investigation.

Kenyatta took a job in Jackson Mississippi as some kind of city govt watchdog.
