Christie says VP vetting leaks a ‘complete violation of trust’
Wash Post ^ | 11/5/13 | Aaron Blake

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) on Tuesday expressed deep disappointment that details of his vice presidential vetting were leaked to the authors of a new book about the 2012 election.

"It's very disappointing," Christie told CNN. "I think it's a complete violation of trust of me and the spirit within which I entered that process."

According to the book, "Double Down: Game Change 2012," by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, Romney advisers had major reservations about Christie's weight and physical health, along with concerns about Christie having been investigated by the Justice Department for exceeding travel reimbursement rates as a federal prosecutor and for a defamation lawsuit that resulted in Christie apologizing to a political opponent.

National politics is a cesspool. Not always a fan of Christie but he has his moments. I am happy he called this out, and also would be surprised if he didn’t already know that gutter politics rule the whole political system in DC.

This is one of my bizarre theories, but I could easily see a scenario with NJFatboy running WITH Hillary as VP.

The media would have an orgasm over the “bipartisan” ticket, and NJFatboy would figure he’ll be mid 60s in 2024.

Caliph Baraq as our first “post racial” POTUS
NJFatboy as our first “post partisan”

ROFlMAO! Is this Romney saying thanks for chumming up with Obama just before the election? Romney wants to kill Christie’s chances before he even gets started.

He had a rough vetting in 2012? Well boo frigging hoo.

I vetted his Obama-hugging fat butt and there are no circumstances I EVER would vote for him in 2016, for any position.

He sold us out for New Jersey victims and Obama in ‘12; he can choke on that record for ‘16. Dead voter meat on arrival. The GOPe will coronate him, but I won’t vote for him.

I’m hoping that whatever RINO the GOP puts forth in 2016 experiences a landslide loss.

Conservatives need to sit out the next RINO election and squash the GOP like the roaches they are.

Christie wants to lecture us on ‘trust’? Yeah, right. We have learned that we can always trust Christie to screw over conservatives. With Christie’s margin of victory, he could have pulled Lonegan over the top had they been on the same ticket. Yet Christie orchestrated it so that Lonegan would have to run in a separate election.

Dear Governor Christie:

Your accepting money from the RNC for your sure thing campaign while Cuccinelli could've used the money and support in VA is a total violation of your Republican credentials. Why would you expect what you call ethical behavior from others?

I'm putting this note to you here so when you peruse conservative websites, you'll know how we feel.

A former Republican,

All the money at the RNC couldn't persuade enough moderate Republican and independent women to vote for Cuchinelli for him to win. That's where he lost, big-time. You may not like that, and I don't either, but is a fact we have to deal with.
