A Medicare official who oversaw HealthCare.gov's botched launch will leave the federal government for the private sector, according to an e-mail sent late Tuesday to Medicare employees.
Tony Trenkle is the chief information officer at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the agency that built the Affordable Care Act's online portal. He is in charge of Henry Chao, a deputy chief information officer at Medicare whose name came up in congressional hearings as the source of key HealthCare.gov decisions.

Such a ridiculous government run by such a ridiculous little pimple of a man.
He and his merry little band of imbeciles are sure gonna’ leave a stain on the nation.
I think it will be funny as hell if his new employer cuts him down to 29 hours.
Anyone who thinks this guy is going to find a job in the Private Sector after this fiasco please raise your hand!
I have swampland in Las Vegas Nevada I'd like to sell you.
Even funnier when he gets forced to use the damn’ website to sign up for Obamacare.
He was a big star in the Obamacare rollout. Not so much now.
Trenkle, Trenkle--little star.
Private sector = crony capitalism revolving door.
I can live with the inhumanity of it all, though.
Whatever it takes to protect The One.
Thanks Lazamataz.
OhYeah.
That will fix what is 100% total political ignorance and incompetence. That is not an opinion, that is a fundamental principle for creating large software systems.
In the case of Obamacare and its web site, the underlying problem is described perfectly in Chapter 17 of The Mythical Man-Month, 1995 Edition, Chapter 17, the most respected referene book for the creation of large computer systems :
"In my experience, most of the complexities which are encountered in system works are symptoms of organizational malfunctions. Trying to model this reality with equally complex programs is actually to conserve the mess instead of solving the problems."
The organizational underpinnings for the creation of the Obamacare web site was/is entirely political. And the result is a hopeless mess.
The biggest problem was that they were not left alone to actually do the job, but rather micromanaged into a hopeless morass of constantly changing political objectives to make the monumental fraud possible.
The result could not be other than failure.
