At no time did Eckert give his consent to these searches. The police did obtain a warrant to rectally search Eckert but that warrant itself was problematic.

You fail to comprehend the difference between illegal and criminal. Are you a criminal supporter?
Your words. You said that criminals should be removed from society. If the law says it is illegal to speed, speeding is a crime, simplest interpretation. And that can be the case for any infraction of code. If you violate code/law, you have committed a crime.
You are trying to get out of that by pulling up a legalistic definition of whether speeding is a crime, but even your definition states that the legal definition varies from region to region.
At what point would you determine that we give up our American rights because we have committed too many crimes, are a criminal, and should be removed from society. Once you define that, then I want to sit in judgment of you and reduce it by one for you.
Especially criminals in uniform who kidnap and assrape innocent motorists?
Traveling in Indianapolis on business and read a story about a cop that was convicted on 9 counts for an accident he had driving drunk on duty that resulted in death. He was convicted on all charges brought against him in a jury trial and is awaiting sentencing. While waiting trial, he was out on bond and had a second accident driving drunk and fortunately only killed a guard rail.
Here is what astounded me - the Police Chief cannot fire him! The officer is a convicted felon. Convicted of crimes “we the people” would rot in jail for and the Chief can’t fire him. Has to go before a “disciplinary board.” A reasonable person might expect LEO’s to be held to a higher standard of conduct, but sadly they are not.

The WOD is at the crux of this. I am sick of it. I do not use drugs. I do not approve of them. A lot of peoples lives are ruined by drugs. But it is now very apparent to me that the societal rot from drugs is not nearly as bad as that which has come from the fight against them. Let druggies kill them selves. I am sick of ruining my life trying to save them.
We have given up far too many of our liberties to secure ourselves from drug criminals. Far too many. And we have lost the community and respect of our law enforcement officials. We have gone too far astray from what makes American the shining city on the hill.

I can keep copying and pasting back my responses to you. I am not intimidated by you. I used the definition for crime to support my position. What you posted supports my position. A crime is a crime, period. There can be different penalties for the severity of the crime.
And lets be honest, if they were really interested in keeping “drug criminals” off the streets, they would do it. The fact that this man is still on the streets proves that they aren’t really interested in stopping crime, they are interested in getting money and justifying and keeping their jobs.
