Immigration reform is dead for the year, top GOP reformer says
Wash Post ^ | 11/7/13 | GREG SARGENT

In what will be seen as another blow to immigration reform’s chances, a top pro-reform Republican in the House concedes House Republicans are not going to act on immigration reform this year, and he worries that the window for getting anything done next year is closing fast.

“We have very few days available on the floor in the House, so I don’t think we’re going to be able to do it this year,” GOP Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart of Florida told me by phone today.

Diaz-Balart has been deeply involved in bipartisan negotiations over immigration for years now, and is thought to be in touch with House GOP leaders on the issue, so folks involved in the immigration debate pay close attention to what he says.

Worse, Diaz-Balart said that if something were not done early next year — by February or March, before GOP primaries heat up – reform is dead for the foreseeable future.

“I’m hopeful that we can get to it early next year,” he said. “But I am keenly aware that next year, you start running into the election cycle. If we cannot get it done by early next year, then it’s clearly dead. It flatlines.”

I don't believe it. Keep up the pressure. No amnesty for illegals. No 3x increase in H1B visas for foreigner IT workers.

Then why if Juan McLame meeting with obozo right about now to discuss ways to further their push for amnesty for twenty million illegals?

In some ways it doesn’t matter.

The “old” immigration law creates 1 million new American citizens each year.

80% of new immigrant citizens vote for the Democrat Party.

And, the voter participation rate for new immigrant citizens goes up every election.

Unless we find some way to stop the “old” law, the Democrat Party will take PERMANENT control of the White House and Congress within 10 years!

"If something isn't done.......before the primaries heat up..."

What this guy is admitting to is the truth that 90% of the nation is against anything that gives any legal status to illegal aliens.

What the country wants, no demands, is deportation!

However, big business, the Chambers of Commerce, the Catholic Church, various unions like the NEA and Service employee's unions and various racist groups like LaRaza demand full citizenship or at least no borders so people can just stream in take whatever they want and then head on out of our Southern Border particularly.

So, cowardly elected officials, who are NOT citizen legislators like our founders intended but lifers intent on staying in office to vote opposite your beliefs and take money from your enemies to stay put!

Watch out for these bastards. This is the same thing we thought about Obamacare after the Scott Brown election.

Precisely. Let’s import people who can help grow the GDP and create jobs.

THe GOP should proudly embrace being the party of NO. If Obama asks them for a glass of water they should say no!

Rand Paul’s immigration speech

...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.

Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.

Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.

Let’s start that conversation by acknowledging we aren’t going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.

If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...

This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.

Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.
[but he’s not in favor of amnesty, snicker, definition of is is]

The Democrats crafted the 1965 immigration act to guarantee that there would be an increasing number of Democrats every year. In the year 1965 the Democrats had the presidency, house and senate and they pushed this majority to its advantage much as they did to push through Obamacare in 2009 when the Democrats controlled everything.

We have to get back to the pre-1965 immigration law. We have to explain to everyone that we know about the demographic consequences of these Democrat policies. Tell people in a very plain way that the Democrats are not only our enemies but the enemies of our children and grandchildren who have done nothing to merit being punished just so that the Democrats can have their power.
