I agree 100%. Your take on it as a member of the live audience matches what I saw as a television viewer. I haven’t watched Leno in quite awhile, but I absolutely remember him being at least passingly polite to other Republicans, and even conservatives, that he’s interviewed. Including, as you said, Sarah Palin and Ann Coulter.
In his interview with Sen. Cruz, Leno was doing a flawless impersonation of Letterman. I’m not sure that Sen Cruz was expecting that. But I’m glad Ted got the opportunity to experience up close and personal what it will be like being attacked by asshat inquisitors who won’t allow him to speak, will go after his family members, and flat out make up sh*t about his policy positions.
Ted Cruz is a brilliant man, a VERY fast learner, and he’ll have learned a lot from this experience. I’m counting on that. I’m SO glad you guys were there to support him!
I watched the show... I read the thread last night, as it appeared live on FR... my take away is: Jay Leno is the substance on the bottom of my shoe after I inadvertently step on dog shit. PERIOD. >>>.<<< Allow me... FUJL.
