All Nations protect their boundaries - except for apparently the United States which is not allowed to do so. The world-wide communist movement has deemed the United States as belonging to the world. Our Government also refuses to uphold the Constitution and protect our boundaries - a dereliction of duty that belongs to both political parties.

Your ancestor wasn't illegal, he came per the backing and authority of the Church to escape persacution. Others came later per the authority and backing of British royal law.
