Excerpt: Mincing no words, the young sergeants father told the New York Times, last year, that he was exasperated and lacking in confidence in the Obama administration in bringing his son home.
Both Mr. Bergdahl and his wife, Jani, said they were upset that although they had had good relations with the State Department and the Pentagon during the three years that their son has been missing, they had never heard from President Obama. The two are Ron Paul supporters and have turned increasingly against the war in Afghanistan, although they support the presidents plan not to withdraw most American troops until 2014.
He has never contacted us, Jani Bergdahl said about Mr. Obama. We havent gotten a Hallmark card, we havent gotten a note signed by an aide, nothing. Is it because he thinks were not Democrats?

The mom said, “The President has never contacted us. Is it because he doesn’t think we are Democrats?”. How sad that question even has to be asked. How unfair that she is very likely correct is her assumption. The article says these parents of the POW do enjoy a good relationship with other branches of the Government, so they have not been completely forgotten. Still, they want their family member free again, of course.
Obama may think he has nothing to gain politically by ‘rocking the boats’ and confronting Afghanistan about this. We just need to be out of that place asap. I see nothing the United States can gain by staying in Afghanistan any longer. Let them revert back to their primitive state. It’s going to happen anyway. The culture is not ready for the uncertainty of real change.
It’s because he is white, and in Pakistan.
