Wall Street’s nightmare: President Elizabeth Warren
Politico ^ | 11/12/2013 | By BEN WHITE and MAGGIE HABERMAN

NEW YORK — There are three words that strike terror in the hearts of Wall Street bankers and corporate executives across the land: President Elizabeth Warren.

The anxiety over Warren grew Monday after a magazine report suggested the bank-bashing Democratic senator from Massachusetts could mount a presidential bid in 2016 and would not necessarily defer to Hillary Clinton — who is viewed as far more business-friendly — for the party’s nomination.

And the fear is not only that Warren, who channels an increasingly popular strain of Occupy Wall Street-style anti-corporatism, might win. That is viewed by many political analysts as a slim possibility. It is also that a Warren candidacy, and even the threat of one, would push Clinton to the left in the primaries and revive arguments about breaking up the nation’s largest banks, raising taxes on the wealthy and otherwise stoking populist anger that is likely to also play a big role in the Republican primaries.

“The nightmare scenario for banks is to hear these arguments from a candidate on the far left and on the far right,” said Jaret Seiberg, a financial services industry analyst at Guggenheim Partners. “Suddenly you have Elizabeth Warren screaming about ‘too big to fail’ on one side and Rand Paul screaming about it on the other side and then candidates in the middle are forced to weigh in.”

They should be afraid of the populism that’s sweeping the electorate in general and the Democrat Party in particular. Not so much of the Fake Indian per-se.

I’m calling Bullsh!t.

Wall Street would do just fine under President Elizabeth Warren, just as they are making record profits under President Barack Obama.

All of the anti-Wall Street rhetoric is just playing to the mob. The real action is in using the power of the state to arrange lucrative deals for the cronies. This highly profitable trade will continue, and probably be expanded, under President Elizabeth Warren.

That seems to be the case.

I always laugh when the GOP says somebody has “baggage” (referring to the fact that the Dems didn’t like him or that maybe he had a divorce) and uses that as an excuse for not running a conservative candidate - when the Dems practically make a badge of honor out of lying, being caught by the press, lying again, going on to steal, cheat and manipulate, sexually harassing anybody within reach, getting caught, going on again...well, you get the idea.

The GOP has got to get over the fact that somebody like Newt Gingrich was...gasp! divorced twice and that - gasp! - the Dems and the press hated him.

We want honesty and decency and conservative ideas from our candidates, period. Dems have none, but we don’t want to sink to that level. However, we’ve got to stop letting a bizarrely 19th century vision of moral perfection (of course, manipulated through Dem trolls) shoot down good candidates.

Most Evangelicals (and, sadly, a lot of Catholics) have been divorced, and among my Evangelical friends, they always talk about the “third time’s charm,” that is, the third marriage is the best one. Sometimes they luck out on the second one, too...

But the religious voting bloc goes out and kills any candidate who has been married more than once, while the GOP-e goes out and kills anyone who has actually made him or herself unpopular by insisting on a conservative position.

Yes, and Warren will run so far left, the media will point to Hillary and say look! She’s moderate.

I don’t find Warren any more or less frightening than Obama. It’s the continuance of socialist “progress” that would doom America, whether under Hillary, Warren, or Christie.

Remember on the TV show House there was a character her referred to as the “Condescending Bitch.” The writers were thinking of Elizabeth Warren when they came up with that name.

Listening to her talk feels like being tied down and have a group of Newton Soccer Mom;s explain why they cannot have sex any more.

It is just horrible.

I think it was the late George Carlin that said that on the first day on the job, every new president is invited into the Whitehouse theater by a group of Wall Street power brokers, where they are shown a video of the Kennedy Assassination from an angle the public hasn't seen before... then they are told what their agenda will be for the next term....

Backed up by a book of Pat Robertson, "The New World Order". Read pages103-104. Basically tells how Jimma Carter was going to appoint his types & how he had NO control over his appointments. This was arranged by Rockerfeller. Therefor, this next election - as all of the past since RR - will be determined by TPB. You will have no input. The whole government is a total corruption machine.

Carlin was a comedian. Let’s not forget that.

A head shot of this squaw woman shows the perfect amalgamation of every liberal, pinch-faced NEA school-marmish, League of Women Vipers, birth-control deprived, over-educated/under-sexed, feminazi dame I've ever had the misfortune to meet in person.

The libs wouldn't have much of a choice between her and Hillary in a primary....they're both peas from the same pot.

Few people know it, but we have already had an American Indian Vice President...and he was a Republican. Charles Curtis of Kansas, who was VP during the Hoover administration.
