Bill Clinton, in an unusually blunt critique of the sitting president, said President Obama should live up to his promise to Americans that if they like their health plans, they can keep them.
The former president weighed in on the roiling controversy about health plan cancellations during an interview with the site Ozy.com. The current president recently apologized to the public for the millions of cancellation notices that are going out -- despite him assuring Americans that, under ObamaCare, they could keep their coverage if they want.
For Clinton, the apology doesn't cut it.
"So I personally believe, even if it takes a change to the law, the president should honor the commitment the federal government made to those people and let them keep what they got," Clinton said.

One reason the apology didn’t carry any weight is because it was a typical Obama nonapology-apology. A true apology involves honesty about your behavior, an acceptance of responsibility, and remorse. Obie missed on all three.

I would expect it to end up an additional cost to the taxpayers for having the Insurance companies reinstate this coverage.

This is a country of laws, not men. It means that, thought Obama may have pushed the law to becoming the law of the land, it IS the law of the land. He is not king. He can’t decide what parts to enforce and effectively rewrite it on the fly.
The law is what it is. We have ways of changing laws. We had a way to get rid of prohibition. We can get rid of this. But like prohibition, it has to affect enough people to get the political backing to change. That will take a while. Maybe even over a month.
Obamacare could not even begin to fake like it would work, either, without the low risk people subsidizing the high risk people.
