The GOP should just tell the Dems to fix the mess they created and step away.
In reality there is no "fix," mandated or not. The policies have already been cancelled, the damage already done. The insurers have already re-written their policies to comply with Obamacare. It's too late to do anything else.
To: Para-Ord.45
BINGO! The Dems are trying to ASSOCIATE REPUBLICANS WITH OBAMACARE by luring them into 'fixing' it, which is de facto SUPPORTING IT.
Heads up, Republicans! Leave it be. Don't touch it!

Personally, I thing the trap is that any plan to pass "if you like it you can keep it" is now doomed to failure and will only provide Obama with cover. Millions have already lost their coverage. The insurance companies have killed off entire plan structures. Do they think they can force them to go back and recreate plans they've eliminated? Send out thousands and thousands of "nevermind" letters?
If a bill likes this passes, and the insurance companies are unable to reoffer cancelled plans, it will be they who are blamed for the losses. Obama will be able to weather the storm of his blatant lies as MSM coverage will shift. It will get the dems off the hook.
At the very worst, it will allow republicans to join in with a very active role in this absolute debacle. Please just let the entire darn thing collapse.
To: Para-Ord.45
But there is a plan than does. Wrong, Eric Eric. The government can't force the insurance companies to restore the plans they've already cancelled.

Why not? The government is the one who forced insurance companies to cancel people’s plans in the first place!

Insist on repeal, or at least defunding. Making the people live with Obamacare is immoral.
However, if they delay the mandate a year and put the to-be-cancelled plans back in place, what that does is to push the cancellations in the individual market back a year, to join the cancellations in the small and big business markets to the fall of 2014 — right in the homestretch of the election campaign.

“Maybe just once the GOP could try telling American voters the truth?”
They could join with senators Cruz and Lee in a filibuster, but that might set their “friends” to calling them names. Can’t have that!
Oh, and they’d also have to apologize and admit that Ted Cruz has been right all along.
Nope. Get ready for Lucy, Charlie Brown, and the old football trick.

But there is a plan than does. Senator Mary Landrieu has written legislation in the United States Senate that the Democrats love. It mandates insurance companies have to keep people on their present insurance.Helping them put these companies out of business even faster than originally planned, hello single-payer.

The next time we hear a Democrat saying that Republicans are stupid, let’s remember that such an opinion has a foundation in reality.
