Just more than 100,000 people have selected plans for health insurance through exchanges under the Affordable Care Act through Nov. 2, the Obama administration said Wednesday.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services released much-anticipated data on Wednesday showing that from Oct. 1-Nov. 2, 106,185 Americans successfully selected a plan through the exchanges.
Of that number, only 26,794 came through HealthCare.gov, the federal exchange site that serves 36 states. 79,391 came from state websites.
CMS is now holding a conference call to discuss the numbers with reporters, featuring Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius.

Are the plans where people have actually paid? Or are these plans just in the shopping cart.
Doesn’t count unless there is cash in the drawer.
Did they break out how many of these folks went straight onto Medicaid?
26,794 have “selected a plan”. Of those, how many have actually “purchased a plan”?
Since they admit counting those that have a plan "in their cart", so to speak...that is the $500,000,000 question.

(8) “Individuals Who Have Selected a Marketplace plan” represents the total number of “Individuals Determined Eligible to Enroll in a plan Through the Marketplace” who have selected a plan (with or without the first premium payment having been received directly by the Marketplace or the issuer) during the reference period. This is also known as pre-effectuated enrollment.
Obama is very frustrated with that website, does he have to do everything himself ???

No one is talking about the third-world quality doctors and no hospitals even if you do sign up. How many will die while the politicians play their power games?
And how many of these ‘sign-ups’ are fake or false ? You know its the former ACORN workers now doing this crap.
They MIGHT have that many,
but nearly 100% of them are getting nearly free plans.
No one that has to pay more is going to commit until they are forced to.
Message to Republicans in the US House: Get your hands off Obamacare, stop trying to fix it, LEAVE IT ALONE!!! It is a pure disaster for the Democrats so stop trying to bail them out. Stand back and let them wallow in it, turn on each other and make it even a bigger disaster.
I agree. I think many Americans “went Galt” on Barry’s ObamaScam AND THAT WAS A GOOD THING. Signing up a bunch of freeloaders who don’t pay a penny does nothing to help make ObamaScam work but it does help collapse the scam more quickly.

“SEE? People are just too selfish to sign up and help out their fellow human! This proves the need for people who know better to be given the power to force them to help.”
