Try to imagine any previous chief executive doing this. Really try.

he was telling them to disobey the law

How does he expect them to act?

did he give it to them in writing? Wouldn’t that be grounds for impeachment? (ordering them to disobey the law and guaranteeing them no consequences? or what)

“Try to imagine any previous chief executive doing this. Really try. “

Really, isn’t this the good ol’ fashioned Fascist economic system in action right here?

If the GOP is smart (they are lousy campaigners) they should make Ads showing real grannies, real cancer patients, real kids with serious diseases, etc being pushed off the cliff by Obamacare.

The Rats made a Ad about Paul Ryan pushing a fake granny off the cliff. Now the Rats are pushing real people off the insurance cliff.

“We did everything Obama wanted, and this is the thanks we get,” said one high-ranking official in a state with its own exchange. “I can’t tell you how fed up we are.”

Delightful to read.

I can’t imagine it.

The lies and politics of this situation are making me sick.

That a chief executive would even consider getting himself into this chaotic mess, much less attempting to "back out" of it after he had forced it on the people gives us an indication of how completely ill-equipped he is for the office of the president.

The insurance executives are quiet about this, unlike the press release of yesterday. The insurance industry is financially covered by the Pathway and don't want to rock the boat. I think that they will go along with this, as best they can. This may involve taking some of the fall. However, I am interested to see how achievable this change seems to be with 'only' a 10% to 15% premium increase. It will sure beat a 200% premium increase for most!

The fly in the ointment is the State Insurance Commissioners. They are not in on the scam. They are just innocent bystanders and are justifiably upset.

Someone needs to file a qui tam action in federal court against Obama trying to defraud the United States government by encouraging insurers to break the law.

top executives of some of the biggest insurance companies emerged from a meeting at the White House on Friday, expressing mixed feelings about whether the idea could work in every state.

Reminds me of the poem "The Walrus and The Carpenter".

There is no guarantee that people with old policies will have them renewed at current rates, and some states have considered approving the renewal of old policies, allowing insurance companies to charge 10 percent or 15 percent more. “It’s easy, so I like it,” said one state official who asked not to be named.

So you get your old plan back, but you have to pay more for it and who knows if you will get to keep your doctors. What a deal!

So what are you going to do about it, a**hole?
