George Zimmerman has been arrested and was en route to the Seminole County Jail, according to Sheriff Don Eslinger.
It's not clear what happened or what crime he's accused of committing, but just before 1:30 p.m., Eslinger confirmed that Zimmerman had been arrested today and was being driven to the county jail in Sanford.
He said more information would be available shortly.
WESH-Channel 2 reported that Zimmerman was accused of domestic violence by a girlfriend.
The Sheriff's Office, in a short news release, reported that the agency had arrested Zimmerman after being called to a disturbance on Topfield Court in western Seminole County near Apopka.

Someone needs to tell the guy to get some plastic surgery and go hide out somewhere.
There are a lot of hard hitting questions that a good investigative reporter should ask here. It was left out in this Orlando Sentinel report.
Facts that are very important:
What was the race of the arresting officer? Eskimo, Pacific Islander, Latino, Black? A black Eskimo?
How about the girlfriend? Was she Swedish, Mulatto, Asian, Jewish? An Asian Jew? A white Hispanic? A black swede?
... not to forget gender and sexual orientation. Sloppy journalism!

I feel so sorry for him — they destroyed his life.
Also this incident doesn’t seem clear cut either:

Bingo...You just asked the correct (best) question...
Once you are legally free and clear of any court process requiring you to be accessable...
Then you probably should make an exit, stage right, and get on with your life...
Something is abundantly clear...I do not believe he is staying in Florida for the sun and fun...
Thus every move he makes is being observed and investigated...
Ask yourself this...Do you believe you can duck or shuck the eyes and ears of law enforcement investigators for very long???
You may thing you can, and you might be able to for short periods, and maybe he has, thats why they are busting him for as yet undisclosed reasons...
We will know soon enough...All of this is happening right before our eyes...
Be mindful of what, and how, the apparatus operates...Learn from this...
What a loser. I have thought so for quite awhile. At the least, he has anger issues. Do I think he should be in jail for killing Trayvon? No. However, he is getting very close to needing to be locked up.
I could see him getting deferred adjudication, maybe.. But he has 3 counts on him on this, so he’s gonna have a rough ride.
I could also see him getting a felon with possession situation. Even if he please on a DV he’s screwed if it gets down to a misdemeanor.
Sorry, pleas on the DV.. And felon with possession, I mean he’ll probably still have guns on him while on probation. At that point, he’ll get serious prison. And even after that, as a DV, he’s barred anyway. If convicted or pleas of course.

People are saying that he is being screwed. I just don’t think so. He either has survivor guilt, PTSD, or anger issues. Whatever HIS problem is, he needs therapy. I can’t believe all the FREEPERS who are enabling this guy.
I was glad he got off because I believe he was in the process of getting severely beaten and the shot was good. His behavior before and after has been ridiculous. He had a bad reputation already and now with this.. He certainly needs intense anger management if he manages. Hell, he needs to start going ASAP while on bail to show he’s trying at least.
