“I hope State Senator Deeds recovers completely and quickly.”

You can never recover from having your son do this and then kill himself. It makes me ill to even think about.

Not a time for politics. Unbelievably tragic.

Even worse if the father did indeed have to shoot his own son. Prayers to the Deeds family. I hope he recovers.

Even in this situation, you could still say that having a gun saved the father. Even if he was not the one that used it. call that a win for the pro-gun side!

The son wanted a bigger piece of the kick backs. When that didn’t happen, things got ugly.

Maybe the kid stabbed his dad in the heat of some dispute then shot himself himself in despair.

looks like a rage...that was a total rage if he did this.

Deeds was stabbed “multiple times about the head and upper torso”, according to police.

Police not looking for other suspects in Deeds’ shooting/stabbing.

Maybe the father shot the son and then stabbed himself.
Well, he is a Democrat.

I recall Deeds well from my long residency in VA. It was difficult to watch a good state die from the inside.

Since everyone is in a praying mood, I offer Psalm 109.

Fot the most part it looks like it has already been answered.

This is a disgusting comment which holds more truth about you than about any “Democrat”.

Mr. Deeds Goes to Town.
Good movie. Gary Cooper, Jean Arthur. 1936.
Story about a guy who gives someone else’s money away.

Those IDIOTS are blaming Fox News?!?

George Bush will be jealous?

None of the recent whacko-bird mass shootings and the like, were perpetrated by "fox news conservative" or some such creatures.

What is it? Are the liberals who nut-uP and start murdering, being controlled by Rovian death-ray machines?

They are projecting their fears...turning those into casting of blame.

Right out of the gate, those idiots blame-shift to "culture of hatred" not being their own fault whatsoever? even while they continue non-stop with their own bile and false accusations towards any and all even vaguely conservative?

Yes, that is what they do...but the displays are still stunning.

Just what is it going to take to shake them from their stupor? At least some of them, significant numbers perhaps, are waking up to the fact that Zero-Care promised much, will deliver less than was before, cost much more --- oh, and the deductibles. One HAS to pay those IN FULL before the insurance companies will even begin to pick up their (business end) of the "bargains" (cheaper, better! even more of it!) that the nation was sold by the past Democrat Party majorities, when they held House-Senate-Executive.

They own that garbage. But pointing that out...I'm such a hater.

Nothing is going to help those who are that disconnected from reality.

"Here we go again, the gun grabbers will have the knives out."

Maybe now it will be knife grabbers carrying guns. Not long after that, they'll want to confiscate most varieties of dinnerware.
