The only thing that can stop this is what the parents have finally succeeded in doing, that of getting public exposure as to what is happening. It would not surprise me if their last name has had something to do with how aggressive Child Protective Services has been against the family.

This story and the second one at the link are very disturbing. There seems to be no issue that these children are mistreated by their parents.
Someone took my kids like that... That place would not exist anymore.
There was a recent case in California where parents of a baby with a heart defect were threatened by police and CPS because a doctor says he needs open heart surgery right now, after being brought in for the flu.
The parents said we need a second opinion and took him to another hospital.
They come home to find armed police and CPS agents.
The doctor gives his opinion, and now it is the law because law enforcement says “ye, verily, the gods in white lab coats have spoken”.
Ironically, if the parents had not gotten their child treatment over time and she’d died, they’d face the exact same charges they face today.

How dare those parents want to be involved in their daughters treatment. But at least now they, and everyone else knows what will happen to them if they dare speak up when the government makes its determination of what kind of health care they are gonna get!
So the judge issues a gag order. It surely wasn’t issued to keep the state organs quite but certainly was issued to keep the parents from letting the public know about their plight.
The teenager is still being held in hospital after all these months with the parents being allowed only a single one-hour visit per week (no doubt with Child “Protective” Service staff overseeing it). Something here stinks to high heaven. I would not be surprised to see information down the road indicating the hospital was wrong and missed a diagnosis and has been doing whatever they can to prevent their mistake from being uncovered.
But maybe we should shut up about this case—after all a judge from the governmental overlords has issued a gag order.
This is truly disgusting.

I know several parents that shopped a diagnosis until they found a doctor to agree to it. A friend was a diabetic until she was 18 when her mother admitted it was fabricated. The mother had been diagnosed with MS and she decided it was her turn to be the sick person.
I dared to ask ONCE if long term antibiotic was good for my child. That was it and nothing more. The doctor started screaming at me and telling me I was going to kill my child if I didn’t keep her on the meds for another 6 months and did she need to put her into the hospital to make sure she was given her meds. Whoa, excuse me for asking a polite question one time. That was also the visit she insisted I sign a form for welfare to pay for a vaccine despite me saying we weren’t on welfare. It was obvious she was scamming the welfare system. That was the last time we set foot in there. I saw later that she’d written me up in the records as being harmful to our child’s welfare so it’s a wonder she didn’t call CPS although she might not have because of who we were. I reported her but nothing was done and she’s still in practice almost 20 years later. No telling how much she’s double dipped through the years.

I see code words for Munchouse by Proxy. So did a commenter at the site with the article. If it is MBP, the kid should be better by now. If it is not, the physicians and judge should all go to prison.
