Why is Boehner praising Obama on immigration?
MSNBC ^ | 11/21/13 | Benjy Sarlin

John Boehner thinks President Obama is finally coming around to his position on immigration. What is Boehner position on immigration, you ask? Good question!

On Thursday, Boehner offered rare praise for Obama, who had said earlier in the week he was open to passing immigration via a series of small individual bills rather than the Senate’s large comprehensive bill. House leaders have said for months the Senate bill would not receive a vote and that they’d only move forward with a piecemeal approach.

Because he’s stupid?

Because Boehner’s masters want amnesty?

Politicians disgust me.

I think that the House should decline to pass anything, in retaliation for the Democrats doing the nuclear option in the Senate, so they can force more liberal judges onto the courts.

The fact that the GOP controls the House is something that can be used against the Democrats and Obama. They should see that there will be consequences for doing the nuclear option. They did the nuclear option so Obama would get his way on judges and other pres. appointments. They should see that there will be a price to be paid for their unilateral divisive action. Will Republicans fight back is the question.

so much for bipartisan cooperation on anything.

They are telling everyone what they want to hear. They are in a rock and a hard place between their contributors and us. I am beginning to think they know full well what a threat amnesty is and maybe with some of the negative headlines the Dem’s are getting it will be easier to get it off the screens. I think they might be trying to put it under the carpet in a way that does not cause probs with Latinos and donors.

I am not sure of this so keep calling your congressmen and senators a I Have been doing and signing up for www.numbersusa.com. I know some of you are going to flame me for saying that but you could just as easily pick up a phone and call your Congressmen and bitch at him instead of me that is how you really do good.

Boehner has to be compromised. There can be no other explanation for someone who is so politically weak and self-destructive.

My Dem congressman has not responded to my last “inquiry” to him (two weeks ago) about Obamacare. But I will not go away. :)

Don’t let them forget that we pay their salaries and they work for us.

THe highest echelon of the Democrat power structure don’t need a Amnesty bill to actually become law. They just need the continued corporate media and cultural focus to stay on amnesty.

Over 500,000 Dreamers will be amnestied this year, and they will become anchors for the rest of their family members. In 5 years, that will be millions more new citizens of voting age who associate the Democrat power structure with their newfound kneeling stool at the government teat.

IN a few years a few million more GOP leaning voters will either die or become government dependents on Medicare/Medicaid/SSI/government contractors/government employment, and the net tilt in the national voter roles will be well over 10 million net gained voters for the Democrat power structure.

The whole time, the American corporatist power structure has synthesized the business-government syndication models used in east Asia, and south America (and especially Brasil), where the middling classes can be exploited endlessly and their slice of the government redistribution pie continuously reduced through central banker inflationary policy,

Democrat power structure wins by continuing to peddle their fork tongue agitprop, the GOP power structure becomes a atrophied appendage of the corporatists’ lobbying line item expenses, and the American people see their country quite literally turn to dust in front of their eyes.

We are way past the point where even a Ted Cruz presidency for 8 years could even stem the collapse.

5% of the counties in the US will continue to live the “American dream”, another 10% will be “aspiring”, everything else is going to be turned into reservations for dieing Caucasians , Native Americans and native born African Americans, with policies similar to those of the late 19th century Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Fortunes are to be made is this turmoil, and the politicians will be rewarded for sustaining and creating further turmoil, and crushed for efforts towards stabilizing society.

Good luck.

You are looking at the trees and missing the forest. Boehner wasn't compromised, the GOP compromised its principles. Let me give you a little timeline over the past 25 years:

1988 - George H.W. Bush nominated, wins. Big Government fan.

1996 - Big Government Bob Dole nominated as the GOP candidate.

2000 - George W. Bush, a pro-amnesty, pro-big government Republican nominated as the GOP candidate, elected, wins.

Early 2000s - with George W. Bush in the White House and Republican control of Congress, the federal government grew more powerful, more expensive, and more intrusive.

2006 - George W. Bush, John McCain, and Teddy Kennedy tried to get an amnesty pushed through (or "Guest Worker" program as they called it).

2008 - John McCain, a pro-amnesty, pro-big government Republican nominated as the GOP candidate.

2012 - Mitt Romney, another liberal Big Government Republican nominated as the GOP candidate. A fan of the illegals, especially when they are doing his lawn care.

2013 - George W. Bush campaigning for Chris Christie, another big government, pro-amnesty Republican.

If John’s first move isn’t to BUILD THE FENCE, we’ll know he’s caving.

A REAL, PHYSICAL FENSE!!

The electronic, airborne, and spaceborne “fence”, can simply be TURNED OFF by subsequent idiots.

The problem with the GOP right now, is that they’re simply a lighter version of the dems.

We don’t want the dems, nor a lighter version of dems. People who do want the dems, want a strong version of the dems.

People who want the GOP, don’t want a lighter version of dems. They want the GOP.

The GOP needs to stand up fearlessly and LEAD.

And stop sending American jobs everywhere.

Bring them back to America.

Now.

And it's not just at the national level. Here in my state, Texas, our Governor, Rick Perry, pushed for amnesty when Bush/Kennedy/McCain were pushing it in Congress. Just three years ago, he was supporting La Raza, which is a huge pro-illegal immigrant group, arguably one of the largest and best-organized.

The GOP is going to give us some kind of amnesty, whether we want it or not.

Amen! And the funny thing is that Obama is trying to give them Congress and the White House in 2016 with the Obamacare debacle, but the GOP is still pushing the Democratic agenda.

Granted, the GOP has steadily drifted toward more big government and spending. That is evident. However, my point about Bohner is that his repeated cave-in’s, reluctance to fight the good fight, refusal to stand on conservative principles, and tendencies toward appeasement are all indicative of someone who is either hopelessly inept and clueless, or personally compromised. His posture may be a combination of the two but I think mostly the latter. Its as though he’s owned.

It looks like the GOP is engaged in a payoff to its financial masters in the business world who like cheap labor.

One thing is for sure. The GOP wants our votes and our money, but not our principles.

Is his Jamaican born, druggie, dreadlocked son-in-law a citizen? If he is maybe old Boehner wants to help to get his son-in-law’s family here. How can Boehner take care of the people’s house when he can’t even take care of his own?
