Interesting that the cause of the fire is debatable. Could well have been a false flag by the Nazis. Mmmm...false flag...where have I heard about that being used before?
Republicans wont bring everything to a halt because as guilty as Democrats are of bullying whoever is in their path to get their way, Republicans are just as guilty of putting themselves first, before the people. Their damaging tactics are different but not less damaging.
They only care about political posturing. They think the nuclear option will only enhance their chances in 2014 therefore they just stand back and watch saying “Look what a bully Reid/Obama is”. To hell with the fact that the Democrats are taking over more of America with each move, Republicans are as guilty of putting their power over the people as Democrats.
You know... if/when we win back the senate.... we make a new senate rule that says, the senate can invalidate its consent of any judge that has been appointed in the past 3 years. Bounce all of his appointees out and then laugh at the liberal press when they go bat*&^#. :)
Plenty of areas to point that out, but changing that rule is something talk radio hosts were demanding in 2005
I'll take exception to that. There have been many posters on FR that endorsed the communists empire. Those are the ones that opposed Romney. Those are the ones that didn't listen to Glenn Beck when he was on TV. Those are the ones that gave Newt a hard time. The list in huge. Everyone made mistakes but blind hate is no excuse. None of the above were perfect but with Romney, NO FEDERAL HEALTH CARE. He was totally opposed and stated many times that health care was a State problem and choice.
Glenn Beck outlined how communism would take over America unless we were informed and stop the move. He was right and was so far worried that he went to the religious way for redemption. Wrong move. Religion is a path but it is our works that would make the difference. Faith without works is dead.
Newt was and always will be a Constitutional conservative and in spite of some mistakes was and still is right.
I still cant understand how he has so many people on his side.
One indicator of why so many still back him is most Progressives thought there was nothing wrong in the IRS targeting Tea Party and other conservative groups. Progressives are tyrannical bastards. Obama might be an evil sonofabitch but he’s their evil sonofabitch.
BINGO!!
I never stated that ALL here on FR knew from the beginning.
I showed you that I made such a statement in Jan 2009.
There were many others here who fully understood what he was then.
Romney has since said that he would have enforced Obamacide's provisions through the states. So yes, no Federal health care -- just statist health care forced us on through a warped sense of federalism. Not exactly 'totally opposed'.
For other reasons, yes. But not for this. I have said over and over again that the filibuster is utterly unconstitutional. It should not exist. At all. As long as we focus on rabble rousing and silly arguments like this is some illegal, unconstitutional power grab we are doomed because it will color all our arguments (well it already has).
The Founding Fathers did not intend a filibuster. Get the word out. Win elections. But, sadly, we have nitwits in charge of the GOP.
And while I’m on it, winning the Senate, while important, has no effect on this as long as a Dem is in the WH. Quite frankly, I wish the GOP had gotten rid of the Judicial filibuster 10 years ago. back then, Conservatives were cheering for them to do it. Now, this is “illegal”, etc? Please.
Let’s return to what the Framers intended, get off this silly argument, and elect us some Conservatives.
We are powerless because they control the media. Joseph Goebbles would be embarrassed by the lies that are repeated day after day by the lapdog press in this country.
We are powerless because of the "bread & circus" programs the government employs to keep masses of people ignorant to their malfeacance.
And when "immigration reform" is passed, and it will be w/ smiling republicans in on the photo op, its over.
This isn't going to end well folks.
