No Deal - Will Israel Fight?
The Weekly Standard ^ | 12/2/2013 | William Kristol

But one can’t be optimistic about their chances for success in scuttling the deal. And one can’t be optimistic that the Obama administration will reverse course at the eleventh hour. Which means the last, best hope for stopping the Iranian regime from having nuclear weapons may well lie in a deus ex machina (if one may be permitted to use a pagan phrase for a Jewish state). It is Israel, not the great American superpower, that may well have to act to thwart Iran’s nuclear ambitions. And so the democratically elected leader of Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, will have to weigh his choices, with the burden of history on his mind and the judgment of future generations in his thoughts.

It is written If God be for us Who can stand against us.If Israel blesses God —then god will honor the covenant I will bless those that bless you and curse those who curse you.God has done the miraculous before with regard to Israel. I do not doubt He can do so again.

Not for nothing but, we’ve been hearing for years how Israel will attack Iran over the nuclear issue. Yet, nothing happens as Iran continually advances its nuclear capabilities. Makes one think the Israelis aren’t as tough as they were thought to be.

Keep this in mind as you look at the issue of Iran's nuclear ambitions:

Israel doesn't really have any fear of an attack from Iran. Israel is more than capable of defending itself in a situation like that, and Iran knows this better than anyone else. After the debacles in Iraq and Afghanistan showed how incompetent the U.S. is at waging a military campaign in the region (and how little control the U.S. has over the post-war outcome), Iran probably fears Israel more than Iran fears the U.S.

What's driving Israel here isn't a fear of an attack by Iran. It's an issue of addressing serious problems of an unsettled political and demographic situation at home. Israel's biggest fear is that if a major regional power like Iran rises in that region, many of its most successful residents will pack up and move somewhere else. This is a problem Israel has been dealing with for years, and it would only get worse if things become unsettled in the region.

"Christian countries used to send missionaries to pagan nations like this."

They still do.

Though you will NEVER see it on MSM News.

Or, that they’re withholding their attack until there’s really no other alternative. Stuxnet, targeted assassination (and I’m sure other thjngs) have pushed Irans timetable back. It hasn’t stopped the timetable entirely.

And one that we would be very poorly prepared for thanks to a decade of foolishness by the unpaid mil-industrial zealots, war profiteers, and libtards in charge of the nation’s armed forces.

The Nazis are dead and gone and the butt of jokes. Their enemies the Communists, however, lost the cold war but are set to make a comeback. Heck they’re practically running the nation.

>>Who really cares?<<

We should all care!

Do you care about five dollar a gallon gasoline?

Would one be interested if there were sleeper cells within the U.S. with intent to create havoc/terrorism during a broad mid-east war?

Curious...would hundreds of billions to trillions in new debt due to new military engagements in the middle east raise an eyebrow?

How bout Obozo allowing thousand more war refugees into the U.S.? What about upcoming amnesty talk? Caught your attention yet?

If all that regional war talk still sounds boring...how bout WWIII?

Great. Quayle’s Brain wants to start a new conflagration, kill a few million, and have $8/gal gasoline. Surprise! Surprise!

This little chickenhawk should be wearing tar and feathers. Who listens to him?

..........I believe “they” WILL fight but irony of all ironies in history is that they will, just for the attack, not the aftermath, have many Arab allies, including Saudi Arabia...............

I hope Israel, with Saudi Arabia’s help, has stockpiled enough of everything they will need because I don’t think our Muslim in Chief is going to help when the shooting starts...........

Remember this if nothing else: Bush 43 sent the Iraelis 2,000 standard bunker busters. A little later he approved another 500 enhanced bunker busters. All are lazer guided, super accurate. Bibi still has all of them and that little bit of ordnance alone, properly placed, is enough to shut down anybody’s manufacturing capability. 2,500 well placed hits could shut down even the US for quite some time. Don’t think just nuke facs but think in terms of electric production——ain’t nobody making U235 without gobs of Reddy Kilowatts
