The referendum campaign was spearheaded by the Socialist Party, plus the Greens and trade unions.

Unlike the United States, Switzerland has rejected Marxism.

Good for them.

“The referendum campaign was spearheaded by the Socialist Party, plus the Greens and trade unions.”

Coming to a liberal city in the USA next. Sounds like a typical libtard idea. Then when all the companies leave they will try to tax them as they exit.

The Swiss are great! They do not listen to the unions, Reds (er, I meant Greens) or the Marxists (er, I meant Socialists). Thank you business friendly Swiss.

They’ve seen what the ‘best of government’ can do in the development of the PPACA Website. It appears that they realize it actually takes people with intelligence, experience and knowledge to handle large projects instead of allowing government functionaries to pull it all out of their ass.

Even in sane Switzerland, the vote was only 2/3. The other 1/3 were for the pay limit.

What is depressing about this is that it just isn’t that far from 1/3 (33%) to Romney’s 47% or an outright majority coalition of the zombies.

Yup. There is a march toward the dependency state even in Switzerland.

That's hardly new - Switzerland has always relatively large Socialist parties - heck, in the 1920s and 1930s, the Socialists had the largest party in the nation.
