Western stock markets are closed on Sundays, but Israel's exchange is open and its ongoing rally is continuing as the market reaches a new high today.

Point taken. Thanks. Yes well nobody’s been stabbed in his bath tub Yet But stranger things have happened And the hoipolloi is getting more and more restless Too much dissonance between the propaganda lies and the visible reality. Gets even the most mentally- challenged
Figity
Unfortunately a massive war can be a significant stimulant to an economy.
They’ll probably have to bring back the Draft. Next time I’ll be helping the Draft Dodgers.
I have often wondered if Israel has nuclear tipped anti-ballistic-missiles. This is the best way to destroy incoming missiles. i.e. Don’t try to hit a bullet with another bullet...hit it with a small nuke, then ‘close’ is good enough.
p.s. I still enjoy reading your blog..do wish you would throw a few more tech posts in with the gun posts though :-)
You need to understand the Israeli mindset. Israelis are NOT Americans.
Ask an Israeli:
“When do miracles happen?”
Ask him this so close to Hanukkah -
His answer will be simple and predictable -
and you will understand.
You misunderstand the situation. Not one Israeli is blind to the Iran threat, not one. You are wrong also in that Greenspan is an Israeli because he is culturally Jewish. What is wrong here on FR? Do all Christians think the same? no. Nor do all Jews.
Looks like their stock market reflects reality just about as well as ours does.
Maybe it’s a fire sale?
"Russia has zillions of valuable natural resources under its control but nobody attacks her..."
Huh?
yes, but that was when the Russian military was really very weak
Woke up this morning to cheering Iranians. When the enemy cheers for a deal, you know it isn’t a good one.
And yet the White House claims this is a great deal, with a straight face. They put Baghdad Bob to shame.
“yes, but that was when the Russian military was really very weak”
Um, no.
The Germans were unpleasantly surprised at the size and strength of the Red Army and Air Force, identifying nearly 300+ divisions by Christmas of 1941, just before being thrown back in front of Moscow by fresh, winterized Siberian divisions freed up by the Japanese decision to move south instead of north.
The quality and performance of the forces and the leadership comprising the massive Soviet order of battle are another matter.
Several history courses and 30+ years of gaming (Drang nach Osten/Untenscheiden, Korsun Pocket, Black Sea/Black Death, etc.) convince me that only monumentally bad Soviet leadership let the Germans do as well as they did.
Well, Agamemnon DID come to a bad end but so did Cassandra....
That didn’t end too well for him did it?
Has anyone checked our Fed’s latest stock purchases?
American Jews and Israelis do not “think” the same. They do not speak the same language. They do not feel the same way about things. Most Israelis can name 40 states and maybe even 10 provinces. Most Israelis (almost all) have military experience and ALL have friends or family killed by terrorists.
Americans are different. Although we are grandiose and generous on the right and left for instance we tend to generalize and be ignorant of other people and other cultures, which is why you might think all Jews think the same no matter who they are or where they live, or might not know of the enormous hard-working Jewish power structure behind conservative and even Tea Party politics.
Alas if we’re all liberals to you, so be it. There are bigger fish to fry.
yes you are correct, thanks very much.
I had forgot Stalin’s mechanization campaign
