I’ll take your word for it that you know what you’re talking about. Without getting into too much detail on a public forum, even heterosexual anal sex is high risk and unnatural. As you wrote, the body isn’t designed for it. The woman has to take additional steps to ensure it isn’t painful for her, and there’s a real, substantial risk of injury, spread of disease, and chronic medical problems. The vagina, on the other hand, is designed for intercourse, and the risk of injury and even disease transmission is significantly less.
Sodomy is basically an unhealthy and unnatural act. It’s like playing with fire. Playing with fire is actually possible of course, but one has to wear plenty of protective equipment to mitigate the risk. Those mitigation steps don’t change the fact that the act (of playing with fire) is inherently dangerous. Wouldn’t it be wiser to simply not play with fire in the first place? I think so, and that’s not even getting into the moral issues.

Importantly, the issue here is *not* HIV, but other, now far more fearsome, diseases. There are now about 20 major drug resistant diseases going around, and unprotected anal sex would be a superb way of spreading many of them.
And because HIV dampens the immune system, I would not be surprised at seeing many clients of a homosexual bathhouse suddenly dropping dead a few days after their visit.
