A father and his two sons have been arrested in Australia after police found a $3 million arsenal of more than 300 guns and 4.2 tons of ammunition at their farm, police said Thursday.
The men, aged 69, 46 and 42, were charged with possessing restricted firearms after police found the weapons stockpile stashed in sheds at their property in Monto, Queensland.
A selection of the firearms from a huge stockpile of 328 guns and 4.2 tons of ammo recovered by police in Queensland, Australia.
Among the 328 weapons were military-style automatic rifles, some of which were worth up to $50,000 each, and Glock handguns worth $10,000, police said.
This is certainly one of the largest hauls of firearms, ammunition and weapons we have uncovered, said Detective Superintendent Jon Wacker of the Queensland Police. These firearms are very disturbing.

Yeah that’s probably the case too - A lot of Aussie country boys still know how to modify a rifle especially up in Queensland!
You can bet they’ll be tracing serial numbers and probably pulling-in more people involved in this cache, while the muzzie terrorists go merrily about training in their camps.
Sure beats the 7 firearms and 300 rounds of ammo they found at the Houston guy’s house, doesn’t it?
Not much info yet, on the 3 guys they nabbed.
Queensland crackdown is over the top. Riding in groups of 3 is assumed to be a gang. Gang officers have to resign, but maybe cannot, etc. Sounds like a group ride to Sunday School will end you in jail. In what I see, the way the law is written, muslim gatherings might be included — but of course the govt wouldn’t dare.
From another forum — in the new jail facility to be purpose built for bikies (1%ers and probably other innocent bystanders) under these anti-democratic and probably unconstitutional laws, the conditions of incarceration include:
- 23hrs/day solitary confinement;
- No gym or exercise facilities;
- No TV, etc. and very limited visiting rights; and
- Inmates to be clothed in shocking pink jump suits.
Not only that but the general presumption that bail (which does not usually involve cash as in the US) will be granted is overturned and the presumption is that bail will not be granted to people associated with prescribed gangs.
This situation has resulted in many members of proscribed gangs handing in all their colours and patches over to their lawyers - they are not “all” thugs and drug dealers, etc.
But “f___ U Newman” has now amended his poorly thought out legislation to include “former” gang members in its orbit.
But most of this legislation (like the VLAD laws - Vicious Lawless Disestablishment Act) is Constitutionally dodgy and needs to be tested in the High Court of Australia where it could possibly thrown out due to:
No freedom of association;
Compulsory sentencing;
Reversal of presumption that bail will be granted;
Yada yada.

250 .22LR bricks per case are heavy. So are the .50cal Beowulf and .50cal BMG cases.

I have *heard* of this so-called “.22LR” ammunition, but I have never actually seen any. I’ll have to take your word for it.
