I took the test and it said 88% “The Midland.” I had taken it some time before and it said 66% “Northeast” (and 30% Midland), almost opposite from before. There’s not really enough questions to render a definitive answer to what one sounds like.

Bob Smith was a pro-life hero. While Arlen Specter was working with Dems to block passage of the partial-birth abortion ban in 1995, Bob Smith pushed the abortion ban forward. This is why some Pro-life activists still support the man. To me, he has degraded himself since he left office. Its kinda like watching your grandpa getting Alzheimer's. In fact, the conservative heroes of the 1990s have turned into duds (I.e Bob Barr, Bob Smith, Bill McCollum, Lindsey Grahamn.)

I understand, I admired the man myself and favored his GOP Presidential candidacy in 1999 (I was 15 at the time). I'm really flabbergasted though at the lengths we had to go to (hopefully) convince them of the historical fact that he endorsed Kerry. A couple of these people that must have been asleep in 2004 (despite "closely following" Smith) all but accused me of conspiring with Daily Kos to make it up.

And one guy seemed to actually excuse it, breathtaking. It was as disgusting an example of petty spite as you'll ever see. That alone says to me this guy doesn't have the character to be in office. His little exit from the party and return when Chaffee died was the first warning sign. He has the Potomac fever. I'm not sure if even Jim Oberweis more desperately desires to be in the Senate. I hate people like that.

But ultimately, whatever. The most important thing is he's not a viable candidate, his entry into this race is preposterous.

Yeah, it's sad. Barr and Smith went batty (how ironic that Barr is also attempting a comeback, he may actually have a chance, I hope not). Graham turned into the heir to McCain. I'm not aware of anything McCollum did to quite lump him in with those 3.

The lesson seems to be, don't get emotionally attached to any politician. This may be difficult for many, given human nature.
